Celebrating 25 Years

The club was started by Joe Smith and his son Bernie Smith as Bargo Soccer Club in early 1983. The concept was to play in a friendly local competition rather than travelling past Campbelltown to play in the over populated Macarthur Area.
In 1988 as a bicentennial gift to the people in the area the State Government supplied funds to Wingecarribee Shire Council to build a soccer field and tennis courts at Yerrinbool. After moving, Bargo Soccer Club became Yerrinbool Bargo Soccer Club. The Club then over time paid for another set of goal posts and established two fields and the tennis courts became a skateboard/play area for kids. Club and local labour then got together to lay the foundations and assist Council to build Canteen and change rooms. The Club and Council each paid half the cost of building. Since then Club members have improved as too has the quality of the fields ? recognised as one of two State approved grounds in the Highlands. Yerrinbool Bargo Soccer Club are seen as one of the strongest clubs in the Highlands area.
