Springwood 16 Girls hoping to make an impact at MBF Champion of Champions

These finals are the climax of the Football NSW Community Football season and the eighteen finals to be staged will attract large numbers of spectators and players all hoping for their ultimate prize, Champion of Champions.
One team that will be very difficult to beat will be the Springwood Soccer & Sports Club’s Under 16 Division 1 Women?s team. The girls were very impressive in winning their semi final in the MBF Champion of Champions against Woonona (Illawarra) 4 – 1 in the oppressive heat last Sunday.
Leading one nil after a penalty in the first 4 minutes, the Springwood girls powered through the midday heat and determined opposition to gain 80% possession and go 2 – 1 up at the halftime break. In the second half, the Springwood fitness came to the fore, with Springwood scoring a further 2 goals, to seal a convincing 4-1 victory. Coach Mark Dennywas very pleased with the performance of his young ladies and is looking forward to his Final against the very strong Chipping Norton team at 10.00am of Field 1.
The Final Day proceedings will commence at 8.30am and the last match will kick off at 5.30pm.
Parking is always at a premium, due to the large crowds on the day and everyone is urged to take this into consideration and arrange early arrival to ensure nothing is missed on this very important day.
Valentine Sports Park is an alcohol free venue and NO ALCOHOL will be permitted in any are of the complex at any time during the MBF Champion of Champions Finals.
