Alex Tobin in Champion of Champions Over 35s Final

Alex Tobin is a former Australian football player, the most capped player for its national team with 87 ‘A’ appearances including many as captain of the side.
He played most of his club career as a defender with Adelaide City FC in the National Soccer League. Tobin left Adelaide City in 2000 after 16 years with the club, then played with Parramatta Power at the end of the 2001-02 season and finished his career with Northern Spirit FC. Tobin played a massive 522 games in Australia which some people say will never be repeated. How marvelous for us all that he is still playing today and involved in our Champion of champions Finals.
It was Alex Tobin?s magnificent headed goal in the final of the State Cup that set the match alight and ultimately led to their victory in extra time and Tobin?s Castle Hill United team mates will ultimately be looking to him once again for the inspiration needed to overcome West Ryde Rovers.
This match promises much with West Ryde Rovers looking a very strong outfit in their preliminary matches in this prestigious tournament and as Castle Hill United have already bagged the State Cup this season we are looking forward to a terrific tussle.
In the past few seasons, the Over 35 Champion of Champion Finals have been amongst the best of the day and this years match-up looks set to maintain the standard with players of the caliber of Tobin involved.
