West Sydney Berries ready for new era under John Calleja

Calleja, who will be assisted by Matthew Ribarovski, has been busy preparing his troops for the new year and has recruited up to six new players for 2009.
Marjan Novotni, Adam Wither, Cameron Jones, Liam Austin, Trinity Allen and James Kovas have all been wrapped up by the Berries.
Kovas joins the Berries from Sydney Olympic and will no doubt add flair up-front in the club?s attack while Adam Wither was snapped up from Super League outfit Macarthur Rams.
The club has managed to re-sign goalkeeper Hamish McLean, Omar Saadi, Michael Cunico, Jack Sobczyk, Johnny Fotiadis, Ryan Jones, John Tsironis, Kosta Lagoudakis, Dimitri Zakilas and club captain Aheleas Kotsopoulos.
The Berries are hoping to make the TeleChoice Premier League finals series in 2009 after finishing eighth in 2008.
The Berries kick off their 2009 campaign when they entertain staunch rivals Sydney Olympic at Belmore Sports Ground on Sunday 1st March with kick-off scheduled for 6pm.
