The proposal to alter the Premier League club championship was initiated in a report from the Football NSW high performance unit which was subsequently supported by the Premier League Standing Committee.  As a consequence the following weighted points system shall apply.

WEIGHTING: Total aggregate points (competition points) x weighting
1st Grade: 5 points
Grade 20: 2 points
Grade 18: 1 point
Grades 13-14-15-16: 0 points
Example:  if club A defeat club B in 1st grade, club A will be awarded 15 points for win.  If there is a draw between club A and club B, both clubs will be awarded 5 points for the draw.
Example: If club A defeat club B in Grade 20?s, club A will be awarded 6 points for win. If there is a draw between club A and club B, both clubs will be awarded 2 points for the draw.
Example: If club A defeat club B in Grade 18?s, club A will be awarded 3 points for win. If there is a draw between club A and club B, both clubs will be awarded 1 point for the draw.
The format governing promotion and relegation shall be determined by the Football New South Wales board of directors. Promotion from the Super League Competition remains the same; that being, the 1st grade team that wins the premiership will be eligible for promotion providing the club meet the minimum requirements and criteria as supplied with membership applications and any other items considered necessary and defined by the Football NSW Board of Directors.
Relegation from the Premier League competition will be based on the above system, the member club participating in the Premier League competition that finishes at the bottom of the club championship table becomes liable for relegation.

A summary of each round will be available on the TeleChoice Premier League landing page, for Round 1 click here.
