The Youth League Report – Premier Youth League (Round 3)
Overview
The much anticipated clash between Blacktown City Demons and Marconi Stallions was not played on Saturday and it will be rescheduled very shortly. In the meantime Bonnyrigg White Eagles did very well as they showed a profit of twelve points from their encounter with Sydney Olympic while Sutherland Sharks bounced back from last week?s disappointment to earn eleven points at Bankstown City who have been having a rough trot so far.
Manly United would be reasonably pleased with the fact that they took eight points from West Sydney Berries while Penrith Nepean United split the points at seven apiece with Sydney Tigers and Wollongong FC did the some thing when they faced Sydney United.
Grade 13
West Sydney Berries are the competition front runners with a perfect record of three wins from as many matches after they produced a 3-0 result over Manly United. Bonnyrigg White Eagles are two points behind the leaders following their 1-0 success over Sydney Olympic and Marconi Stallions are third after their match against fifth placed Blacktown City Demons was deferred.
Wollongong FC are sitting in fourth position thanks to their 4-1 victory over Sydney United and Sydney Tigers are sixth after they owned Penrith Nepean United 3-1 while Sutherland Sharks jumped to tenth with a 1-0 result over Bankstown City.
Grade 14
Penrith Nepean United are sitting at the top of the table after they posted a 3-2 result over fourth placed Sydney Tigers and NSWIS Girls are placed second thanks to their 2-0 midweek win over Bonnyrigg White Eagles who then suffered a 1-0 loss to Sydney Olympic on Saturday.
Sutherland Sharks are in third place following their 4-0 win over Bankstown City and Manly United are fifth after they downed West Sydney Berries with a 3-0 scoreline. Wollongong FC are sixth following their loss by the odd goal in seven to eighth placed Sydney United while Marconi Stallions are currently seventh and Blacktown City Demons are tenth after the deferment of their match.
Grade 15
Blacktown City Demons have held onto the top spot despite their match with seventh placed Marconi Stallions being deferred. Sydney United are second after they defeated third placed Wollongong FC 2-0 and Manly United are fourth following their 4-1 triumph over ninth placed West Sydney Berries.
Bonnyrigg White Eagles are placed fifth thanks to their 2-2 midweek draw with NSWIS Girls and then their 2-0 success over Sydney Olympic on Saturday. Sydney Tigers are sitting at sixth after they downed Penrith Nepean United 2-1 and Sutherland Sharks are eighth following their 1-0 result against Bankstown City.
Grade 16
Wollongong FC are sitting at the top of the table on goal difference after they were held to a 2-2 draw by fourth placed Sydney United while second placed Manly United and third placed West Sydney Berries both missed the opportunity to grab the top spot when they played out a scoreless draw.
Marconi Stallions are still fifth after their clash with seventh placed Blacktown City Demons was deferred and Sydney Tigers are sixth even though the suffered a 1-0 loss to tenth placed Penrith Nepean United. Sydney Olympic are placed eighth after they suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of ninth placed Bonnyrigg White Eagles.
Bankstown City and Sutherland Sharks played out a 2-2 draw which has left them at eleventh and twelfth places respectively.
Grade 18
Blacktown City Demons have held onto the top spot after they were 5-1 midweek winners over the fourth placed NSWIS Boys but then their match against third placed Marconi Stallions was deferred. Wollongong FC are in second spot on goal difference after they were 2-1 winners over last placed Sydney United.
West Sydney Berries are fourth following their 1-1 draw with tenth placed Manly United and Sydney Tigers are sixth after they posted the same scoreline in their encounter with twelfth placed Penrith Nepean United.
Bankstown City are in seventh position after they drew 1-1 with eleventh placed Sutherland Sharks and Sydney Olympic are eighth following their 2-0 loss to ninth placed .Bonnyrigg White Eagles.
