State League Division 1 Round 4 Preview

Schofields Scorpions return to the CSI Sport Ground and will be looking to get back on track when they host Fairfield City Lions.
The Scorpions took a setback last week with that last gasp loss to Blacktown Spartans, and will be looking to their feared attacking weapons to do the business against the visiting Lions.
Fairfield picked up their first win of the season last week, with Issa and Codmani hoping they can inspire their side to continue on their winning ways.
Blacktown Spartans will tackle Hurstville ZSC at Francis Park, no doubt looking to make it three wins from three matches at home.
The visitors will be hoping last week?s hammering at the hands of the Wanderers was an aberration, but will have to deal with the feared Spartan partnership of Jajaw and Cornett if they are to avoid a repeat result.
Hajduk Stadium will host the clash between Sydney Wanderers and UNSW, the home side having hit the jackpot with half a dozen goals in last week?s outing versus Hurstville ZSC.
UNSW will be no pushover however, as they plan to grab something from the match and start their incline from the base of the ladder.
Hills Brumbies will need to be prepared and ready for action as they welcome the in-form Mounties FC to Second Ponds Oval.
With the one win for 2009 thus far, the Brumbies face a Mounties team that is brimming with confidence following their close victory over Inter Lions last Saturday, so expect a close knit affair in this one.
Lambert Park is the place to be to see the competition leaders, with Dulwich Hill SC travelling to meet Balmain SC.
The home side have proven a formidable opponent thus far in 2009, but are yet to register a win, whilst Dully have continued on this season where they left off in 2008.
A tight game is expected here, with both clubs boasting the division?s best defences so far this year, conceding a paltry 3 goals between them.
The only match scheduled for Sunday is due for kick off at 3-00pm at Concord Oval, between close rivals Inter Lions and Stanmore Hawks.
Both clubs would be a little disappointed with their starts, having both won just the one match from three, and sitting in and around mid table.
A win from either club would see them climb towards the head of the ladder, so expect some fireworks in this eagerly awaited clash.
Let?s hope the midweek rains haven?t dampened the grounds too much, and we can look forward to another week of exciting football in Division One this weekend.
