Sydney Olympic appoints Nick Theodorakopoulos as head coach

Nick Theodorakopoulos is a former player of Sydney Olympic in the mid 80s and also had a stint as a director on the Board of Sydney Olympic in the 90s and now assumes a new role with the Club as the 1st grade coach for the remainder of the 2009 season.
Nick ?Theo? as he is more widely known in Australian football circles highlighted his coaching ability by winning the NSL championship with Wollongong Wolves in 1999/2000 by coming back from 3-0 down at half time to win on penalties against Perth Glory at Subiaco Oval.
He then had a stint in Greece with Kallithea FC in 2001 before returning to Sydney to lead Parramatta Power in 2002-2003 and take them to the Grand Final only to lose to Perth Glory at Parramatta Power stadium in the last season of the NSL
He also has A-League experience gained from when he coached Newcastle Jets in 2006 for a short period and now marks his return to the football community by taking on the top job at one of Australia?s most historical clubs.
Theodorakopoulos replaces Aytek Genc after the former Blacktown City Demons coach handed in his resignation earlier this week.
