The Youth League Report (Premier Youth League) Round 9

Overview
Blacktown City Demons would have been satisfied with the thirteen points they earned at home to Manly United while Bankstown City also had a terrific day when they took thirteen points from their home ground clash with Penrith Nepean United.
Marconi Stallions performed well against Sydney Tigers when they pocketed a dozen of the available points but in Round 7 catch-up action they took only four points from the four matches played against Wollongong FC while Sutherland Sharks bagged ten points at home to Bonnyrigg White Eagles.
Wollongong FC earned twelve points from their home games against West Sydney Berries and then they pocketed another seven points from the Round 7 catch-up matches against Marconi Stallions.
Sydney Olympic bagged nine points from their visit to Sydney United and then they added eight more points from their Round 6 catch-up matches with Manly United and three more from a Round 7 game against Blacktown City Demons.
Grade 13
West Sydney Berries have an advantage of eight points at the top of the table after they suffered a 2-0 loss to fifth placed Wollongong FC who picked up an additional point from their Round 7 catch-up game with Marconi Stallions which finished at 2-2 while Sydney Olympic flew from ninth to second when they were 3-0 winners over Sydney United who went back one place to eighth. Olympic also picked up points when they beat Blacktown City Demons 4-1 in Round 7 catch-up action and drew 1-1 with Manly United in a Round 6 rescheduled game.
Bonnyrigg White Eagles dropped back to third following their 2-0 success over Sutherland Sharks who have fallen back one place to ninth and Marconi Stallions have risen one position to fourth with a 2-0 victory over Sydney Tigers who have slipped from tenth to eleventh and the Round & catch-up draw with the Wolves.
Blacktown City Demons tumbled back two places to seventh following their 2-2 draw with Manly United who also went back two places to sixth while Bankstown City climbed one place to tenth when they recorded their first win for the season, a 1-0 result over twelfth placed Penrith Nepean United.
Grade 14
Blacktown City Demons are the competition leaders on goal difference following their 3-1 win over Manly United who used the points from their 1-0 win over Sydney Olympic in a Round 6 catch-up match to rise one place to fourth. Marconi Stallions jumped from third to second thanks to their 1-0 victory over eighth placed Sydney Tigers and their 2-1 win over NSWIS Girls who have slipped back two places to sixth. However, the Stallions lost their Round 7 catch-up match with Wollongong with a scoreline of 4-1.
Penrith Nepean United went back to third when they lost 2-1 to Bankstown City who moved up one place to twelfth while Sydney Olympic scooted from eighth to fifth with a 1-0 win over Sydney United who fell back two positions to ninth.
Sutherland Sharks climbed two places to seventh after they produced an emphatic 6-0 win over Bonnyrigg White Eagles who dropped back one spot to thirteenth and West Sydney Berries leapfrogged Wollongong FC into tenth place with a 3-0 victory.
Grade15
Blacktown City Demons led the way on the table by a margin of two points after they posted a 3-0 result over Manly United who slipped back two places to fourth while Marconi Stallions moved up one place to second with a strong 8-0 win over twelfth placed Sydney Tigers and a 3-0 result over thirteenth placed NSWIS Girls and then they grabbed the number one spot with a 2-0 Round 7 catch-up match against Wollongong FC.
Wollongong FC climbed into third place when they were 1-0 winners over ninth placed West Sydney Berries and Sydney Olympic remained at fifth after they lost 1-0 to sixth placed Sydney United and beat Manly United 1-0 in a Round 6 catch-up match.
Sutherland Sharks stayed at seventh after they drew1-1 with eleventh placed Bonnyrigg White Eagles while Penrith Nepean United remained at eighth following their 1-1 draw with tenth placed Bankstown City.
Grade 16
Wollongong FC now have a lead of six points at the top of the ladder following their 3-0 victory over West Sydney Berries who fell back one place to fourth and the Wolves continued their success with a 3-0 win over Marconi Stallions in Round 7 catch-up action.
Manly United retained second spot despite their 2-0 loss to Blacktown City Demons who have climbed two places to third and the lads from the northern beaches lost their Round 6 catch-up match against Olympic 2-0.
Sydney United are still fifth after they were 1-0 winners over Sydney Olympic who have moved from ninth to seventh with their Round 6 catch-up win over Manly.
Marconi Stallions remained at sixth despite their 3-0 shock loss to twelfth placed Sydney Tigers and Sutherland Sharks shot from tenth to eight with a 3-1 success over Bonnyrigg White Eagles who dropped back two places to ninth.
Penrith Nepean United slipped back two places to tenth when they were beaten 1-0 by eleventh placed Bankstown City.
Grade 18
Wollongong FC extended their competition lead to three points with a 5-1 victory over West Sydney Berries who have remained at second after their 2-2 draw with twelfth placed NSWIS Boys while Blacktown City Demons moved up one place to third when they posted a 3-0 result over Manly United who slipped back to fourth despite picking up a point from their Round 6 catch-up match against Sydney Olympic which finished at 1-1.
Marconi Stallions remained at fifth when they were 2-1 winners over Sydney Tigers who dropped two places to ninth and Bankstown City are still sixth following their 5-3 win over eleventh placed Penrith Nepean United.
Sydney Olympic scooted from ninth to seventh with a 4-2 victory over tenth placed Sydney United and the point they picked up from the catch-up match with Manly while Sutherland Sharks picked up two places to go to eighth after they were 5-0 winners over thirteenth placed Bonnyrigg White Eagles.
