Tiger Turf Cup Round 4 matches this week

draw

A number of officials from the 16 clubs left in the Tiger Turf Cup made their way to Football NSW to witness the unveiling of the official draw in Glenwood last week which sparked a lot of interest especially when a number of interesting clashes were drawn out.
Football NSW Executive Manager of Commercial Services Tony Peters presented the event while Media Manager Mark Stavroulakis and Public Relations Coordinator Bruce Da Silva had the task of drawing out the sixteen clubs left from two pots.
2008 Tiger Turf Champions Bankstown City Lions were faced with a tough up and coming match when they were draw with Sydney United. Peter Tsekenis? squad led by new faces such as former Central Coast Mariners midfielder Greg Owens and lethal left foot marksman Daniel Severino will both add some spice into the United encounter on Tuesday 9th June. The Reds have hit a mini slump of late after their fantastic start to the TeleChoice Premier League season, but with player/manager Ante Milicic returning after his Young Socceroos coaching commitment, you can expect more from the former NSL giants.
Super League high flyers PCYC Parramatta Eagles were drawn against old foes and newly rejuvenated TeleChoice Premier League outfit Bonnyrigg White Eagles. The PCYC Parramatta Eagles will certainly have a point to prove against their former arch-rivals that they also belong in NSW?s top tier competition but they will be met by some stiff opposition especially with the recent success of the White Eagles. New coach Brian ?Bomber? Brown along with his assistant Cliff Pointer have changed things around at the club since their appointments which will see a couple of fresh faces take to the pitch with ex-Central Coast Mariners ace Andre Gumprecht and defender Graeme Forbes leading the way.
Tricky Super League side Spirit FC, who knocked out Sydney Olympic in round 3 of the Tiger Turf Cup, have been drawn against the tough outfit of Manly United. Jason Van Blerk will no doubt be pumping his chargers up for what will be an interesting encounter between two highly committed sides.
TeleChoice Premier League side Penrith Nepean United will also have their work cut out when they entertain Super League dynamo club Rockdale City Suns. A match which could go either way, one thing?s for sure, action will certainly be at an all time high.
Another interesting clash sees Sutherland Sharks take on the Marconi Stallions in an interesting duel between to evenly matched sides. The pair have had a consistent run in the TeleChoice Premier League thus far but both will be out to continue their impressive forms as they lock horns at Seymour Shaw.
Wollongong CFC make the trek to Sydney where they face the Sydney Tigers. The South Coast side have had a terrible run of luck in 2009 in the TeleChoice Premier League so a good showing for the club in the Tiger Turf Cup could be the only motivation they need in getting a positive result against the hungry Tigers.
Super League side Granville Rage will be facing a tough task when they tackle the ever improving Blacktown City Demons. The Demons have had a change of fortune of late and with the late inclusions of Matt Lewis and Adam Kwasnik from the Central Coast Mariners into the squad, the club has been tough to beat in the TeleChoice Premier League.
Finally, Super League side Fraser Park tackle State League Two side Camden Tigers in what should be a blockbuster affair between two very vocal outfits. The Tigers have had a remarkable run into the Tiger Turf Cup and will be all guns blazing when they entertain Ramsin Shamon?s squad.
