The Youth League Report (Super Youth League) Round 21 Review

Club Championship
The frontrunners on this table are PCYC Parramatta who had taken thirteen points last time they met tenth placed Sydney Wanderers so they may have been a bit disappointed that they could only earn nine points this time around.
Second placed Central Coast Lightning pocketed twelve points when they faced sixth placed Spirit FC in the first round but on this occasion the clubs split the points at seven apiece. 
Macarthur Rams had bagged eight points when they played Dulwich Hill in the first round but it was a different story this time as the clubs each took a six points share from the day and that left Macarthur at seventh and Dulwich Hill at third.
Eighth placed Blacktown Spartans had grabbed eight points from their last meeting with fourth placed Northern Tigers but that was reversed this week when they Tigers took eight points from the encounter.
When fifth placed Western Panthers saw eleventh placed Granville Rage in the first round the Panthers earned all the points but this time they had to happy with ten points.
Ninth placed Schofields Scorpions and twelfth placed Southern NSW had taken five points each from the four games played when they clashed in the first round but this time around all the points went to Southern.
Grade 13
After this weekend the Premiership is still up for grabs and there are six teams still competing for five places in the finals. Anything could still happen so there is bound to be plenty of interest in the outcome of the games next week.
PCYC Parramatta arrived at this game as the competition leaders and they had beaten tenth placed Sydney Wanderers 5-1 in the first round. The Eagles repeated the dose this week when they were 4-0 winners.
Second placed Central Coast Lightning had lost the first round clash with Spirit FC 1-0 and this time around the teams shared the points when their game was a scoreless draw at the final whistle. While Lightning held onto their position, Spirit slipped back to fourth.
Blacktown Spartans moved up one place to third when they registered a 1-0 victory over sixth placed Northern Tigers who the Spartans had beaten 5-1 the first time around.
Dulwich Hill are fifth after their scoreless draw with seventh placed Macarthur Rams and that was exactly the same result as when they clashed in the first round.
Western Panthers climbed one place to eighth when they were 3-0 winners over twelfth placed Granville Rage who they had beaten 7-0 last time around.
Schofields Scorpions slipped back one position to ninth after they suffered a 3-0 loss to eleventh placed Southern NSW who had lost the first round encounter by exactly the same scoreline.
Grade 14
The top spot has gone but this week?s results have left the door open for the next five teams to battle it out for the remaining four places in the finals.
Northern Tigers have claimed the title as Premiers despite being held to a 1-1 draw by eighth placed Blacktown Spartans and that was a repeat of the outcome of their first round meeting.
Second placed Central Coast Lightning were 2-0 winners over Spirit FC who have slipped back one place to sixth. Lightning had also taken the first round points with a 2-1 result.
Dulwich Hill are placed third on goal difference following their 3-1 success over Macarthur Rams who are seventh. Dulwich Hill had won the first round match 2-1.
Fourth placed PCYC Parramatta had beaten twelfth placed Sydney Wanderers 1-0 in the first round and they went on with the job with a -0 result this time around.
Western Panthers climbed one place to fifth with a 1-0 victory over eleventh placed Granville Rage who the Panthers had defeated by exactly the same scoreline last time they met.
Southern NSW remained at ninth after they came up with a 1-0 win over tenth placed Schofields Scorpions who they had beaten 3-0 the first time they played them.
Grade 15
We now know which teams will run first, second and third and which two teams are vying for fourth and fifth positions. For the rest, it will be a matter of playing for thee highest position they can reach on the final table.

Western Panthers are still in second spot after they were held to a 2-2 draw by twelfth placed Granville Rage who had lost 2-1 to the Panthers last time they faced each other.
Third placed PCYC Parramatta were 2-0 winners last time they met eighth placed Sydney Wanderers but this time the teams split the points when the match finished at 2-2.
Schofields Scorpions are placed fourth on goal difference despite suffering a 2-1 loss to tenth placed Southern NSW after the first round game had been a scoreless draw.

Grade 16
We now have a situation in which three teams will be competing for the Premiership and the next four will all be looking for one of the other two places in the finals so next week?s results hold plenty of intrigue.

After this week?s results we have a situation in which the top two teams will fight it out for the Premiership and then the next four teams will all be striving to earn one of the other three spots in the finals.
