Northern Tigers 5  Sutherland Shire 4
A fast paced game created a tight score line at the Dural Sport and Leisure Centre as the Northern Tigers defeated Sutherland 5-4 in Round One action.
From the opening whistle the Tigers began dominating possession but had troubles breaking down the solid Sutherland defence.
Against the run of play however Sutherland counter attacked and took an unexpected lead.
Sutherland continued their counter attacking style of play, and even though being a player down due to a red card went into the break with a 2-1 lead.
The second half painted a different picture however and with Sutherland tiring, the Tigers took advantage of the extra man and the majority of possession as they scored three goals in a five minute period.
Sutherland never gave up with a great long range strike in the dying minutes, however they did not have enough time to find an equaliser as they went down in a tight battle.

The tables turned in the second half however as Barcelona went on a scoring rampage.

Boomerangs FS 3 Enfield Rovers 10
The Enfield Rovers began their Futsal Super League campaign in the right fashion with a 10-3 drubbing of Canberra side Boomerangs FS.
After three quick goals early, the game turned into a physical battle with both goalkeepers keeping busy between the sticks.
Daniel Ingrati from the Rovers youth team was continually busy and conceded a goal as the Boomerangs pecked the score back to 3-1.
However in a comedic scene before half time, the Boomerangs goalkeeper moved up to join the attack. The ball was intercepted with the Rovers easily scoring their fourth goal of the match to go into the break with a 4-1 lead.
Almost immediately after the break Joseph Foti earned himself a hat trick to increase his side?s lead as the men from Enfield proved their worth.
Enfield?s increase in possession allowed them to slot another five goal in the latter part of the second half as they ran away with the biggest score of the weekend.

More pressure followed from the Sydney team as they scored three quick goals to take a 4-2 lead into the break.
The break seemed to work in the Taipan?s favour, who were having the better of the early second half exchanges.
A mistake in midfield led to a swift counter by Maccabi, 2-5.
Not a team to give up, the Taipan?s pushed forward in numbers, but their bravery was to be their downfall as they were caught by a long-range effort that found the second half keeper, Jay Digger, halfway up the pitch. 2-6.
The Taipan?s were not going to go down without a fight, and goals by Daniel Atkins and Merhrkhavari brought the score back to 4-6.
