A Dream Becomes Reality – Enfield Rovers

Rovers_Celebrating-1

Round 13 the final round of the season and two clubs South Coast Taipans (211 points) and Enfield Rovers (202 points) were going for the ultimate prize of being crowned ?Super League Champions?.
In the end after a long season and 107 games it all came down to the 108th and final game for the Rovers. The Rovers Open Men?s team had to win or draw the game for the Rovers to take the title.
South Coast earlier in the day had won 4, lost 4 and had a draw in the Women?s game.
Enfield going to the last game had won 7 and lost 1.
Meaning that the Open Men?s game was going to decide the Club Championship.
The atmosphere at Bankstown Stadium was amazing as the Rovers supporters were starting to celebrate as the men?s game started. Half-Time and the Rovers 5-0 in front were almost there.
With 25 min of the game remaining it was still not in the bag. With the Enfield supporters cheering the boys on, the men?s team did not disappoint and won the game 10-1.

Enfield Rovers the 2009-10 Super League Champions.

I would like to congratulate all players, coaches and managers and all the helpers (the behind the scenes people), parents and all the supporters for there effort this season.
It is the combined effort of the whole group that makes a successful club not any one individual.
To the players, coaches and managers who were with us in the first two seasons I would like to thank you as well as your effort also contributed to the Rovers success.
To our sponsor ?Team MVLE? (Michael and Vanessa) a big thank you for your support this season and we look forward to working with you next season in the ?Premier League?.
