St George Association?s Sans Souci ended State League Two outfit Hakoah?s run in the McDonalds Cup after a memorable 2-1 victory at Claydon Reserve in front of a healthy 200 fans. Nick Theodorakopoulos opened the scoring midway through the second half for the host then Hakoah equalised with less than twenty minutes to go. With four minutes remaining Stephen Gray sent the home side fans into raptures as he notched up the winning goal to put Sans Souci into the second round of the McDonalds Cup.
Sans Souci life member Andy Paschalidis was delighted to have seen his beloved club continue their fairytale run in the Cup.
?It puts a big smile on everyone?s face involved at the club to have seen them defeat what was a very good Hakoah side.
?This is our FA Cup and the team and management have used this as a chance to see where they fair against clubs from State League level and I know they?re all charging to go for round 2 as the fairytale run continues from the small club hailing from Sans Souci in the McDonalds Cup.?
