Cvetanovski?s football career started at Bankstown City Lions in 2001 and in 2004 he was chosen in the NSWIS squad where he played for 3 years and also captained the side.
Talent scouts from the AIS also saw the potential in Peter recruiting him in 2007, the move to the AIS proved to be a great opportunity to further develop his football skills. While at the AIS, he was chosen to represent Australia in the U-17 Joeys. Peter played 18 matches during his time with the Joeys and from there progressed to the Australia U-20 team.
Cvetanovski then played for the U-20 team throughout the qualifying campaign for the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Upon their successful World Cup qualification, Peter missed out due to injury but his efforts and achievements didn?t go unnoticed in Australia or overseas.
Werder Bremen and Borussia Monchengladbach were both eager for Peter?s signature and then later signing him on a 2-year contract where he played in the U-19?s team and on three occasions played for the first team in the German Bundesliga.
Cvetanovski unfortunately sustained an injury in the later part of his two-year European stint which required minor surgery therefore Peter opted to come back to Australia and have the procedure done here.
Rockdale City Suns President Zak Agioski was delighted to have captured the signature of one of Australia?s rising talents.
?Rockdale City Suns FC are thrilled to have a player of his experience and ability playing at our club, Peter is a prime example of where Rockdale is heading as we are in the process of rebuilding to be a force in the NSW Premiere League and look forward to seeing Peter in action.?
