Balmain SC ? Mounties Wanderers
5-00pm, Saturday, July 3 @ Lambert Park
Mounties will be hoping to continue their resurgence with a victory over Balmain SC in the solitary match that will be played on Saturday this weekend.
Sitting a whisker outside the top five, and with players returning from injury one by one, Mounties will need these three points to keep up the momentum and push for a top five spot.
But Balmain will have other ideas, and home ground advantage may just count for something, as they hope to avenge a 1-3 loss in the first round.
Inter Lions ? Stanmore Hawks
3-00pm, Sunday, July 4 @ Crest Complex
A real six pointer will take place on Sunday when sixth placed Inter Lions take on fifth placed Stanmore Hawks.
Sitting three points behind the Hawks, Inter will look to a repeat of their first round 2-0 win in order to draw level with their opponents.
But strike duo Hijazi and Squillacioti are in the middle of a real purple patch, and will prove a handful for the Inter defence as they strive to consolidate their fifth spot on the ladder.
Hurstville ZFC ? UNSW
3-00pm, Sunday, July 4 @ Hurstville Oval
A battle of the cellar dwellers will take place at Hurstville Oval on Sunday with Hurstville taking on UNSW.
UNSW have had the solitary win in 2010 against Hurstville, beating them 3-1 at home in the first round, and of course will be looking for similar fortunes this time round, whilst a win for the home side will pull them level with the ?students?.
Gladesville Ryde Magic ? Hills Brumbies
3-00pm, Sunday, July 4 @ Magdala Park
League leaders, HillsBrumbies, will make the tricky visit to Magdala Park to tackle Gladesville Ryde Magic on Sunday afternoon.
Dragan Savic and Brendan Mitrovich have been goalscoring form of late for Hills, and they?ll be hoping to steer their side to another three points against the Magic, who lost 1-2 in the corresponding fixture in the first round.
Fairfield City Lions ? Schofields Scorpions
3-00pm, Sunday, July 4 @ Norford Park No.2
An intriguing top four clash awaits at Norford Park as Fairfield City Lions take on Schofields Scorpions.
The Lions hold a 5 point lead over Schofields, and will be keen to defend the gap given their opponent have a game in hand on them.
Fairfield managed to come away from CSI Sport Ground with a 3-2 success in the first round, but expect a sterner test from Schofields this time around given what is at stake.
Camden Tigers ? Blacktown Spartans
3-00pm, Sunday, July 4 @ Ron Dine Reserve
Camden Tigers will be dreading the visit of the best attack in the Division on Sunday, that of Blacktown Spartans.
The Tigers are always a tough proposition in front of their home fans, but Blacktown will be keen to return to the bread and butter of the league, and will be fresher as a result, given they no longer have any additional Cup commitments following a remarkable run in the McDonalds Cup.
