Adrian Vizzari claims Futsal’s top prize at Premier and Super League Dinner
In a tremendous turn-out, well over 450 players, parent and officials attended the Futsal Premier & Super League Dinner for season 2010/2011
Football NSW General Manager Ian Holmes kick started the momentous evening and spoke of the future of Futsal in NSW with more clubs and players looking to enter the competition as well as discussing the good fortunes the sport had achieved for the current season.
With a whole host of awards given on the evening, there were some terrific achievements firstly in the Futsal Super League category.
Boomerangs FC took out the Club Championship in what was a terrific season for the ACT based club which saw the entire group gain promotion into the 2011/2012 Futsal Premier League.
In the Golden Boot category, Breakers FC?s Tiarn Powell took the award out in the All Age Women?s while Sutherland Shire?s Troy Ruthven took out the Men?s category.
In the Super League Goalkeeper of the Year awards South Coast Taipans? Elyse Finlayson took out the plaudits in the Women?s All Age while Boomerangs FC?s Angelo Konstaninou ran out with the Men?s award while Breakers FC?s Shane Watson took the honours of being awarded Coach of the Year.
In the Super League competition?s major award for Player of the Year, Sutherland Shire?s Melissah Parlato took out the honours while Maccabi Futsal?s Daniel Fulton was crowned the league?s best player.
In the Premier League category it was the Sydney City Eagles who were crowned Club Champions in what was a fantastic year for the club.
In the Golden Boot category, Inner West Allstars? Natasha Lo Guidice reigned supreme with her intake of goals in the Open Women?s competition while Enfield Rovers? Joseph Foti took out the Men?s award.
In the Premier League Goalkeeper of the Year awards Antoniette Oliva from the Mascot Vipers scored the prize in the Women?s category while Dural Warriors? Joshua Codrington claimed the Men?s honour.
The stage was set for the major Player of the Year honours in the Premier League and it was Campbelltown City Quake?s Linda Dudek that won the prestigious award in the Women?s while Vizzari was crowned the number one for 2010/2011.
Referees were also rewarded on the evening as Daniel Luttringer was given the Mario Mazzeo Award for Young Referee of the Year while Ryan Shepheard was awarded Referee of the Year while Futsal4All?s Regan McDonald was given the Media Award for his outstanding coverage of Futsal this season.
