Dene has been able to appoint former Sydney Olympic coach Pat Marando as the Eagles? assistant coach, one move that has delighted the Eagles boss.
?Pat will make my life a little easier and will take that added pressure off me during the week.?
Dene has a number of commitments not only being Newington?s Assistant Sports Master and Director of Football at the private school, but also juggling his personal commitments with his family.
?Every day is pretty much tied up with work and football and I don?t have a chance to spend time with the family and other personal duties.
?With Pat on board it will certainly lessen the work load.?
Dene had a great start to his NSW Premier League campaign as the Eagles drew 2-2 with last season?s Premiers Bonnyrigg White Eagles and understands the huge task his side has to back the result up with their round 2 clash against the South Coast Wolves on Sunday at John Crehan Park.
?Last weekend?s result was fantastic for the club and the players.
?Seeing the crowd at Melita Stadium and receiving their support was terrific but we need to get on with the job this weekend.
?The Wolves in my opinion will be much tougher and the players need to know that they will be in for a huge battle come Sunday.?
