Round 18 Preview – League Two Men’s
Tight tussles in the battle for promotion will continue in Round 18 of the 2026 Football NSW League Two Men’s season, with teams close to each other in league position facing off.
Match of the Round: Mounties Wanderers FC vs Central Coast United FC
Friday, 5 June 2026 – 8pm, Cook Park (Mt Pritchard)
Mounties Wanderers FC will hope to extend their lead atop the ladder against in-form Central Coast United FC in what may prove to be an unpredictable match.
League-leading Mounties extended their advantage to 16 points after their biggest win of the season last week, a 7-0 result over Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC. Patrick Antelmi continues to lead the goal-scoring charts with 16 goals. A win for Mounties would be their 15th from 17 matches played this season.
13th-placed Central Coast United, meanwhile, are unbeaten in five matches, including three wins. With Jay Swadling coming off a hat-trick last week, they will be hopeful of bringing that form against the league leaders, a team they did beat in the 2024 season.
With Mounties aiming to further extend their lead atop the ladder and Central Coast looking to stay in touch with the tight mid-table, both sides will hope to carry their strong form into this match and take the three points.
Fraser Park FC vs Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC
Friday, 5 June 2026 – 8pm, Fraser Park
3rd-placed Fraser Park FC will hope to put their Australia Cup heartbreak behind them, losing 3-2 at home to NPL side Sydney Olympic FC despite leading 2-0 after a stunning Francis McAlpine goal, as they look to continue their push for promotion against a Bonnyrigg side aiming to do the same.
4th-placed Bonnyrigg, meanwhile, will hope to respond to their biggest loss of the season last week, looking to rise back into 2nd and avoid going three matches without a win for the first time since the opening three rounds of the season.
Bankstown United FC vs Nepean FC
Saturday, 6 June 2026 – 5pm, Padstow Park
12th-placed Bankstown United FC have made a change at the helm after replacing former head coach Michael Outerinho, and will hope to snap a three-match winless run to put themselves back amongst the mid-pack.
5th-placed Nepean FC, meanwhile, have rediscovered their form and will hope to complete the league double over Bankstown. A win would be crucial in keeping pace with the teams ahead of them in the race for 2nd.
Sydney University SFC vs Parramatta FC
Saturday, 6 June 2026 – 5pm, Sydney University Football Ground
8th-placed Sydney University SFC got back on track with a big away win over South Coast Flame FC last week and, being one of four teams log-jammed on 22 points, will hope to get revenge over Parramatta FC to potentially rise as high as 5th.
2nd-placed Parramatta, meanwhile, rose into the promotion playoff spot after a 2-0 win over Dunbar Rovers FC and will be hunting a fourth straight clean sheet this week, looking to complete the league double over Uni.
Gladesville Ryde Magic vs Camden Tigers FC
Saturday, 6 June 2026 – 5:30pm, Christie Park
14th-placed Gladesville Ryde Magic will hope to complete the league double over Camden Tigers FC, chasing a third straight win which could see them rise two spots to 12th and close in on the mid-table pack.
Last-placed Camden, meanwhile, will hope to push Gladesville all the way in pursuit of their second win of the season. A fast start will be crucial away from home.
Granville Rage vs Inner West Hawks FC
Saturday, 6 June 2026 – 7pm, Garside Park
11th-placed Granville Rage will hope to return from their bye with a win which could see them rise to as high as 5th on the ladder, but they will have to earn their first-ever win over Inner West Hawks FC in the League Two Men’s competition.
10th-placed Inner West, meanwhile, surrendered a lead twice in their draw with Nepean FC last week but will hope to continue their unbeaten head-to-head record against Granville, aiming to win away from home for a third year in the past four.
Dunbar Rovers FC vs South Coast Flame FC
Saturday, 6 June 2026 – 7pm, Rockdale Ilinden Sports Centre
7th-placed Dunbar Rovers FC will hope to turn their form around, having won only one of their past five, in a bid to keep up with the teams chasing promotion this season. To do so, they must defeat a team they have not beaten in their past three meetings.
6th-placed South Coast Flame FC, meanwhile, have also won only one of their past five matches but will hope to complete the league double over Dunbar. A win for the Flame is crucial to keep them in touch with the chasing pack.
9th-placed Hawkesbury City FC have a bye in Round 18.
