The position of State Technical Director is part of the Football Development organisational structure aimed at delivering core elements of the National Football Development Program.
The State Technical Director will report to the FFA National Technical Director, Han Berger on all technical matters.
Football NSW General Manager Ian Holmes said, ?The position is one of the cornerstones in the vertical alignment of the technical operations of Football NSW to that of the FFA National Technical Department.
?This transitioning to an integrated national technical football grid, will be a step towards ensuring the integrity and philosophy behind the national football curriculum is implemented in a consistent fashion across the nation.
?It also recognises the need to have a national technical program and system which is better coordinated at all levels.
?The technical organisational architecture in each state will mirror that of the national body.
?State Technical Directors working in close collaboration and effective alignment with the National Technical Director will improve effectiveness of the delivery of technical services,? Holmes said.
