Waratah Cup Round 2 matches announced
Round 2 has seen all NSW Super League teams enter the fray as they tackle the likes of clubs from State Leagues 1 and 2, Illawarra Premier League, ACT Premier League and various Association teams from across NSW.
Pacific Hills Dural, Pagewood Botany, Como West Janali, Collaroy Cromer and Eastwood St. Andrews are the only remaining Association clubs hoping to go through to the next round in a bid to tackle NSW Premier League opposition.
Gladesville Hornsby?s Pacific Hills Dural face the tough task of taking on NSW Super League side Fraser Park at Fraser Park.
Eastern Suburb?s Pagewood Botany host NSW Super League side Granville Rage as Hensley Athletic Field while Sutherland?s Como West Janali travel to Cook Park to take on State League one outfit Mounties Wanderers.
Gladesville Hornsby?s Eastwood St. Andrews travels to Bensons Lane to take on State League Two side Chopin Park Rams while a huge derby will take place at Lidcombe Oval as the West Sydney Berries entertain the Stanmore Hawks in what promises to be a huge game.
A number of big clashes have been highlighted in NSW?s answer to the English FA Cup with Lynwood Park hosting Super League side Macarthur Rams taking on one of the ACT?s best clubs in Canberra FC.
Illawarra Premier League side Port Kembla face State League One side Hurstville ZFC after their convincing 4-0 defeat of Canterbury Association side Enfield Rovers while Dandaloo FC travel to Hensely Athletic Field to take on State League Two outfit Hakoah.
Picton Rangers, who defeated Menai Hawks 1-0 in the earlier round, will also travel as they take on State League Two side FC Gazy Lansvale while another big fixture will see newly promoted Super League side Dulwich Hill travel to Popondetta Park tackling Mt Druitt Town Rangers who this year were relegated from the Super League.
The battle of the University?s will take place as Sydney University have been drawn to face University of New South Wales while an eye catching fixture will also take place out at St George Stadium as NSW Super League side St George FC take on State League One side Inter Lions.
An interesting fixture will also take place at Christie Park as a derby between NSW Super League side Spirit FC v State League Two side Northbridge should bring out an exciting clash.
Round 3 of the Waratah Cup will see the introduction of the NSW Premier League clubs with the run to the final getting closer from here on.
