Special Feature: Morgan?s young squad to maintain positive approach in Waratah Cup

Speaking after his side?s narrow loss to Sutherland Sharks over the weekend, Morgan insisted his side will not be taking the additional knock-out competition lightly as they enter Round 4 of the competition on Wednesday night.
?You use them (cup games) to try things, and you try to win them always,? said Morgan.
?If you stay in the cup then there are more matches for your players to play in, experience, and learn.
?Obviously making it to the final is certainly an important thing to do so we will be intending to win.
?We?re not just going to treat the game with disrespect,? Morgan added.
Having drawn fellow NSW Premier League side Bankstown City FC in their opening match, Morgan anticipates a challenging fixture against the 2008 Waratah Cup champions.
Just as he has done throughout his two seasons at the helm of the South Coast club, Morgan plans to maintain his side?s positive attacking approach throughout the match and further into the tournament.
?It will definitely be a tough one against Bankstown,? said Morgan.
?They have more senior players than us; they?re excellent on the counterattack, defensively they seem to play deeper and then counterattack against teams, which is their style.
?We would like to think at some stage when we can get ourselves playing how we want that we would be a passing side.
?We?d like to play in their half and keep the ball a bit, but if you play against a counterattacking side well that?s risky.
?If you?re as good as Barcelona it?s not a problem, it?s just a problem for everybody else,? joked Morgan.
Missing a number of key players, Morgan will continue to deploy his regular enthusiastic youth players into his starting line-up.
With the likes of 17-year old John Martinovski in fine form of late, Morgan may be tempted to challenge further youth players to step up in Wednesday night?s clash.
?Just as last time when we went away to play our first match against Hawkesbury, if there?s any boys that are doing outstandingly well in the youth team I might try bring a few of them into line up and maybe rest a senior player if I can,? said Morgan.
?I give them the faith, and I think that they?re good enough, and hopefully they can do the job.
?Look at young John Martinovski ? 17-years old ? causing all sorts of problems against players who have been around at this level for 15 years.
 ?There?s a couple of Under-16s that have been playing well, we?re having a look at them.
?Out of the remaining players we have we can put a good squad on the park, and we will do.
?We?ll go into the Bankstown game a positive mentality; tell the young boys we?ve got nothing to lose and to play football,? Morgan concluded.
South Coast Wolves take on Bankstown City FC at John Crehan Park this Wednesday at 7.30pm.
