Waratah Cup Final and NSW Premier League Round 12 Highlights online

We commence with the 2011 Waratah Cup Final where NSW Premier League side Manly United took on State League One outfit Mounties Wanderers at Bonnyrigg Sports Club on Sunday.
Football NSW?s answer to the FA Cup, eighty-eight teams entered the Waratah Cup this season and, four months on, two remained as Mounties fell agonisingly short of what would have been a remarkable achievement as they went down to a superb Manly United side 4-0.
The first half was pretty even as both teams went into the break at 0-0 but it was Craig Midgley?s men who started off the better in the second as Scott Baldeson scored a cracking goal in the 46th minute open the goal account on Final day.
Adam Foti was then fouled in the 60th minute by Wanderers keeper Ali Akbal and converted from the spot to put Manly 2-0 in front.
Things went from bad to worse for the Mounties as Joel Rodden Ward was given his marching orders in the 66th minute for being the last man in what was a last ditch tackle on a Manly opponent.
Manly went on to score two more times as substitutes Jordon Edwards (87th) and Justin Hayward (92nd) put the match to 4-0 and thus the whistle blew much to the delight of the many travelling Northern Beaches fans as they were crowned 2011 Waratah Cup Champions.
Only one match was played in the NSW Premier League this week and that was a round 12 rescheduled fixture at Lambert Park when Rockdale City Suns put further misery into a dismal APIA Leichhardt Tigers side 3-0 on Saturday.
Jason Naidovski commenced the scoring spree in the 3rd minute before Shay Spitz added a second in the 43rd minute before Sash Tirovski ended the scoring in the 87th minute to send the three valuable points Wally Savor?s way.
