Stingrays and Inter Lions to compete for GPT Women’s Health Trophy

The GPT Women?s Health trophy was instigated between both clubs back in 2009 and is used as a fundraiser for Women?s Health problems.
This year the money collected will go towards a wonderful organisation the National Women?s Breast Cancer Foundation.
Previous years it has been distributed to the McGrath foundation and Cervical Cancer Foundation.
GPT Group sponsors of the Illawarra Stingrays saw the need for such good method of fundraising and kindly helped with a trophy for both teams to play for.
Illawarra Stingrays President Chris Wilson stated that the need to promote and help highlight these women?s problems were a part of both the Illawarra Stingrays and the Inter Lions Club?s culture.
?It?s an absolute honour to be associated with another club willing to promote and fundraise for these special causes.
?Our club has a good association with Inter Lions and we are looking forward to working together for many years to come.
?This year the day falls on Mother?s Day and it will show that each club want to help support the Mother?s around them.?
