Women’s Premier League Round 10 Preview

This week?s round of the match is Macarthur Rams VS Manly United, be sure to check back for a full match report.  
Macarthur Rams Vs. Manly united
With only a point separating these two teams at the top, Manly will be gunning for Macarthur to not only move up the ladder but at the same time see a powerful opponent slip. Both Manly and Macarthur have had strong starts to the season and have defeated almost all they have come up against. This game will be where the battle for the top begins, Manly has a strong and well-coordinated side of young and enthusiastic players, where Macarthur has in their ranks some battled hardened veterans whose knowledge of the game could prove to crucial factor when they hit the field. It will be down to the who wants it more on the day, and neither team will be looking to relinquish, so it will be an all-in match and certainly exciting for all to see. Sunday 3pm @ Lynwood Park.
Blacktown Vs. Inter Lions
With both teams suffering a defeat last round, you can be sure that both will be looking to this game for their chance to not only redeem some points but boost their team morale which will hopefully spur them on their way onto a winning streak. Inter Lions will be facing Blacktown Spartans on their home turf and will no doubt be bringing their trade mark offensive style football and will be hoping to break through back line and burn a hole in the back of the net. Blacktown will have to be on their guard as early in the season Inter showed they had the potential to score and if their defensive line is not up to it, this game could be quite costly. Sunday 3pm @ Blacktown Football Park.
Gladesville Ravens Vs. Marconi Stallions
As Gladesville has begun their climb up from the bottom of the ladder they will be looking to this rounds match as a chance to upset one of the top ten teams, and with Marconi facing them on their home turf they may just have the advantage needed. Gladesville has shown, that when needed, they can be a well-coordinated team capable of making the right decisions on the park, Marconi has shown to be a side with some strong players who are capable of putting the ball where it needs to be to take home the points. Come game day it will all come down to which teams strengths will shine through on once they hit the field. Sunday 3pm @ Peek Park.
Central Coast Mariners Academy  Vs. NWS Koalas
NWS Koalas will be making the trip up north to take on the Central Coast Mariners Academy on their home turf this round.  The Koalas will be looking to this game as their chance to climb back into the top 5 and they certainly have the players to take the fight to the young Mariners. However, it would not be wise to dismiss the Central Coast side as they have shown they are capable of holding the top ranked teams at bay and strike back, so if the NWS Koalas are not on guard they may find themselves tough game. Sunday 3pm @ Pluim Park No.1.
Sutherland Shire Vs. Northbridge FC
After going down 3-0 against Illawarra Sutherland will be looking to get back into the winning groove. Northbridge will attacking this game with the ferocity of a team with nothing to lose, currently sitting on the bottom of the ladder they will be looking at this game as a chance for their first win. Sutherland has shown they have the ability to be a contender on the field, and with both teams motives fuelling their fire, this should be an interesting game to watch. Sunday 3pm @ Seymour Shaw Park.
Sydney University Vs. Illawarra Stingrays
Sydney University, over the past few rounds, have shown they are a true contender gunning for the top of this year?s competition. After two draws in a row Illawarra, now back on the winning train, will no doubt be looking to keep up the rhythm and won?t allow the students any leeway on the park. They will have to watch out for J. Kingsley who in the past weeks has shown her ability to score should never be under estimated as it could prove to be quite a costly mistake. Sunday 3pm @ Wentworth Park.
