State League One Round Twenty Preview

Round Twenty is split this weekend with three matches on Saturday and the remaining three on Sunday, the latter three all kicking off at 3-00pm.
Saturday?s big match takes place at David Phillips Field, and sees UNSW host Mt Druitt Town Rangers in a match that will have a big bearing on how positions will end up within the top five.
UNSW are currently in 4th spot on the ladder, on 29 points, which may change depending on their midweek result against Inter Lions, due to be played Thursday evening at Ninevah Field.
It?ll be a tough ask for the ?students? to back up 48 hours later against one of the competition?s frontrunners, but a couple of positive results nevertheless will give them a great chance of making the top three, and hence a double chance come finals time.
Schofield Scorpions will also be another team backing up, firstly taking on Hurstville ZFC on Wednesday night at William Lawson Reserve, and then facing Northbridge FC on the artificial surface at Hills Sports High, that game due to kick off on Saturday afternoon at the earlier than usual time of 3-00pm.
A real six pointer will take place at Ron Dine Reserve on Saturday night, with Stanmore Hawks making the long trek to tackle Camden Tigers.
With the Tigers occupying 6th spot and the Hawks one below them in 7th, both within three points of the top five, it is easy to see why anything but a victory for either side could spell no semi final football come season?s end.
Sunday?s matches include Inter Lions hoping to pick up another three points away at bottom placed Hurstville ZFC, Fairfield City Lions hosting Balmain SC at Norford Park, whilst Gladesville Ryde Magic will take another step towards the premiership if they can overcome the challenge of Southern Bulls at Magdala Reserve.
