A phenomenal 242 teams were registered and up to 2900 players took part in the Championships across Saturday and Sunday which proved to be the biggest Futsal tournament in NSW for the past decade.
Penrith Regional Sports Stadium was packed to the brim as all junior teams locked horns in battling out who would be crowned Champions in the Under 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 Boys and Under 12 Girls.
While at South Windsor, it was all senior teams in the age groups of the All Age Men, Women, Youth Men, Under 16 Boys and Under 14 and Under 16 Girls that went toe to toe in what was an enthralling two days of Futsal fever action.
NSW Futsal is alive and kicking and this was visibly evident with the amount of quality that was on display for both days as all registered players and teams battled for the right to be named Champions in the prestigious NSW Futsal State Championships.
The sport of Futsal continues to grow from strength to strength and this comes via the success of the current Futsalroos squad who are taking part in the 2012 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Thailand where eleven of the fourteen squad members hail from New South Wales.
