A total of 23 goals were scored across the four matches as the clubs showcased their attacking exuberance.
Phoenix edge Eagles
Phoenix Futsal Club was narrow victors over Sydney City Eagles, the odd goal in three giving them their third victory of what is turning into a solid season.
Clayton Musumeci put Sydney City ahead but his sending off changed the game, allowing Phoenix a way back into the match.
Scott Dingle and Matt Orlich scored for Chris Cowley?s side and the Phoenix coach was undeniably pleased with the performance.
?We worked very hard,? he said.
?The goals were good and we created a lot of chances,? he added.
Given the close nature of the match, Phoenix?s fighting qualities were definitely put to good use.

Cowley was impressed with the attitude of his side.
?We didn?t give up,? he said.
?The defence was good, aside from the soft goal that we conceded.
?It?s a pretty good result though and it?s a big scalp.
?The boys were all pumped up and to come back from 1-0 down to win 2-1 is a good fight back.
?Although we?re still missing players, the guys that were there did a great job,? he said.
For Sydney City the result was a continuation of their struggles so far this season and this result leaves them winless after four matches.
Their coach Jamie Amendolia looked to draw the positives from the result.
?The Phoenix deserved to win,? he said.
?It?s been a tough year so far for us.
?We?ve lost a lot of experience so we?r using a lot of youth players, so it?s a bit of a rebuilding phase for us.
?It?s a work in progress.
?It?ll be a few more weeks until we?re full strength, so it?s going to be a tough year,? Amendolia said.
?The performance was very patchy,? he continued.
?It was good in stages, but we lack a bit of experience.
Inner West strong winners over Dural Warriors
Inner West magic put together a dominant performance to beat Dural Warriors 4-2 in a heavyweight clash at Dural Sports and Leisure Centre.
It was a sensational game of Futsal where braces from Daniel Fogarty and Aaron Cimitile for Inner West saw them put the match away when it was on the line.
Dural went ahead after just 7? seconds, but it proved to be an early peak.
Inner West coach Carmine Bortone was full of praise for his squad after their sensational win.
?It?s a very good resulted,? he started.
?My boys were absolutely outstanding.
?Daniel Fogarty and Aaron Cimitile came back into the side and they showed their quality by scoring twice each.
?Their return definitely assisted the team and they were great goals,? Bortone said.
From a 1-1 half time score, Inner West kicked away in the second half, something which Bortone said was a tribute to their overall quality.
?We had a few players missing,? he started.
?Considering that, it was a great performance.
?It gives us a very good indication of where we?re at.
?We?re absolutely looking forward to a tough game against Campbelltown Quake next weekend,? Bortone concluded.
His opposite number Rob Varela was philosophical about the defeat.
He said, ?To be honest, they were just too good for us on the day.
?We were sloppy.
?With Greg Giovenali still away and Toby Seeto not 100%, we weren?t quite at full strength,? Varela added.
?But we need to pull our finger out,? he continued.
?There are no excuses.
?That said, there?s plenty of time to get it right.
?Our aim is to make the semis and from there it?s a new competition.
?There were no trophies handed out on Saturday night,? Varela concluded.
Enfield Rovers beat Vipers
Enfield Rovers proved their quality, defeating Mascot Vipers 5-4 in what was an absolutely outstanding game of Futsal.
Robbie Issa netted a hattrick for Vipers, but it wasn’t enough in the end.

Vipers coach Zvi Ben David said that in the end, Futsal was the winner.

“It was a very interesting game,” he started.
“We only had 6 mens players and the rest were from the Youth team.
“Anthony Foti and Shervin Adeli played very well for them though,” he added.

At once stage Enfield Rovers held a 5-2 lead but when Ben David threw his youngsters back into the mix, they were able to put some serious head on the eventual winners.
“Rovers led 5-2, but then the Yotuh players came back on and it was 5-3, and then 5-4,” he said.
“If we have played for another five minutes more I think we could have won the game, but in the end they deserved to win.

“It was a good game played in very good spirit,” Ben David concluded.

Boomerangs defeat unlucky Quake

Out of form Campbelltown Quake were defeated again but this time their performance was not found wanting, despite going down 3-2 to Boomerangs FS.
Daniel Fulton’s winning goal was enough for Boomerangs, after Bruno Antelmi and Shannon Fielding had put Quake in a good position.
Their manager Carlos Martinez was optimistic after the displays of previous weeks.

“It was a pretty good performance,” he said.
“The team stepped up and played well, we were leading 2-1 and at that stage we thought we could take the game.

“It took two special goals to beat us and when you go down like that, you almost don’t mind losing,” he added.
Quake again were seeking guidance from their more experience and like last week, they provided it.
“Mark Symington and Dean Lockhardt really stood up,” Martinez said.
“They played the majorty of the minutes, allowing the youngsters to play supporting roles and indeed, two of them scored,” he concluded.
It wasn’t quite enough though as Boomerangs FS showed how difficult they are to beat at home. Their good start continues, whilst for Quake they have something to build on heading into next weekend.
