Sharks and Suns to battle for ‘Leader’ Cup

The scene is set for a thrilling local derby between the high flying Sutherland Sharks and Rockdale Suns this Saturday evening at Seymour Shaw Park for round 11 of the IGA National Premier Leagues Mens 1 comeptition as points and the Leader Cup will be up for grabs.
Former Sharks player Brendan Gan will make his return to the place he once called home and will be taking on the Premier League’s most consistent player at the moment in Panny Nikas as both superstars lock horns in what should be an enthralling encounter between two quality outfits.
Hyundai A-League scouts will be in attendance as this marks the first leg of the Leader Cup for 2013 with the winner crowned in the return leg for round 22 of the IGA National Premier Leagues Mens 1 competition at Rockdale
This big derby clash will be interesting as the Suns’ squad boost no less than six former Sharks players in Max Burgess, Themba Muata Marlow, Paul Kohler, Hussein Jasli, Tom Gollins and Gan.
The Sharks production line continues to thrive however with the likes of Nick Olsen and Chris Naumoff destined for Hyundai A-League success joining the likes of Nathan Elasi, Michael Stuart, Matthew Gordon, Nick Littler, Jayden Koulizakis and Andrew Depta, all of whom have played their youth football with the Sharks.
