The mid-week rain affected the fixtures this week but the impact was minimal with only four Youth League matches being washed out and that means we have reached the mid-point of the competition with all the tables giving every indication that the second half of the season will be very interesting indeed as teams jostle for positions during the run-in to the finals series.
IGA NSW National Premier League Men’s 1 – Overview

Sutherland Sharks must have been very pleased with the fourteen points they took from Rockdale City Suns while Marconi Stallions bagged thirteen points from their fixture against Bonnyrigg White Eagles.

Blacktown City pocketed thirteen points from their trip to Manly United and South Coast Wolves claimed ten points from their journey to Central Coast Mariners.

Sydney United 58 and Blacktown Spartans shared the spoils at nine points apiece while Sydney Olympic took four points from the two matches they played against APIA Leichhardt Tigers.

Sutherland Sharks moved to the top of the table when they secured nine points from their encounter with twelfth placed Rockdale City Suns while Blacktown Spartans dropped back to second spot after they could take only three points from their meeting with Sydney United 58 who used their share of the spoils to jump from seventh to fifth.

Blacktown City remained at third when they bagged six of the points from the three matches played against Manly United who have moved up to fourth position. In catch-up action from Round 6 Manly United had claimed seven points from the four matches played against South Coast Wolves.

APIA Leichhardt Tigers slipped from fourth to sixth when their fixture against Sydney Olympic was washed out, a decision that has pushed Olympic back from sixth to eighth.

Bonnyrigg White Eagles moved up one place to seventh after they gained four points from their visit to neighbouring Marconi Stallions who used the seven points they took from the day to secure ninth position.

South Coast Wolves remained at tenth when they grabbed seven points from their trip to eleventh placed Central Coast Mariners. 

IGA NSW National Premier League Men’s 1 – Grade 12

In the top of the table clash Blacktown City moved into the top spot after they produced a 1-0 victory over Manly United who have slipped back to second place. This result has stretched Blacktown’s unbeaten run to ten matches while it was the first time Manly had tasted defeat this season. The winning goal was scored by M. Osei-Adomako.

However, in catch-up action from Round 6 Manly United were 3-1 winners over South Coast Wolves and that pushed Manly back to the top of the table and dropped Blacktown City back to second.

Blacktown Spartans held onto third place when they were 2-0 winners over Sydney United 58 who have dropped back one place to fifth. The Spartans have now gone eight matches without loss. Scoring for the Spartans was D. Schifino.

South Coast Wolves climbed one place to fourth thanks to their 2-1 victory over twelfth placed Central Coast Mariners. The Wolves had needed to bounce back from the disappointment of a loss in their previous match which had broken a six match unbeaten run. 

Sutherland Sharks retained sixth spot after they battled out a scoreless draw with tenth placed Rockdale City Suns. The Sharks had lost four of their previous five matches while the Suns have now gone five matches without loss after losing all of their first six games.

APIA Leichhardt Tigers are still in seventh spot after their match against eleventh placed Sydney Olympic was washed out.

Bonnyrigg White Eagles remained at eighth following their 1-1 draw with ninth placed Marconi Stallions. Scoring the goal for Bonnyrigg was T. Stefanovski while P. Yazbek netted for the Stallions. Both teams were coming off last match losses. 

IGA NSW National Premier League Men’s 1 – Grade 13

Blacktown City moved to the top of the table this week when they accounted for Manly United with a 2-1 scoreline. That result has caused Manly to fall back two places to seventh while City have remained the only unbeaten team in this age group.

In catch-up action from Round 6 Manly United suffered a 1-0 loss to South Coast Wolves.

Sutherland Sharks jumped into second spot when they were 7-0 winners over twelfth placed Rockdale City Suns. The Sharks were bouncing back in a most emphatic way after suffering losses in their previous two games. Their goals were scored by J. Papagelis (3), K. Grozos, J. Keremelevski, J. Skotadis and J. McDonald.

Sydney Olympic dropped back to third when they were washed out against APIA Leichhardt Tigers who have fallen back one place to ninth.

Sydney United 58 rose from sixth to fourth thanks to a 1-0 win over Blacktown Spartans who have taken the reverse route from fourth to sixth. The winning goal was scored by M. Moric.

South Coast Wolves jumped from ninth to fifth when they combined their 5-1 success over tenth placed Central Coast Mariners with their win over Manly in the Round 6 catch-up match.

Marconi Stallions slipped back one place to eighth even though they produced a 3-2 win over eleventh placed Bonnyrigg White Eagles. Marconi’s goals came from C. Cuelho (2) and S. Mai while Bonnyrigg’s scorers were J. Boutros and G. Prlic.

Rockdale City Suns were due to play the thirteenth placed Football NSW Institute but the result was not available at the time of writing.

Sutherland Sharks claimed the top position on the table this week after they produced a very solid 6-0 win over Rockdale City Suns who have fallen back two places to tenth. Scoring the goals for the Sharks were B. Currey, J. Trew, T. Woerndl, C. Buswell, P. Turall and T. Kumsuz.

Sydney Olympic dropped back to second when they were washed out against APIA Leichhardt Tigers who have fallen back two places to eleventh.

Bonnyrigg White Eagles retained third position thanks to a strong 6-0 victory over Marconi Stallions who are still in twelfth place. The goals for the winners came from A. Ajaj (3), A. Sherif, A. Nanjar and A. Pethyon.

Central Coast Mariners climbed from sixth to fourth when they came up with a 1-0 win over thirteenth placed South Coast Wolves thanks to a goal before the interval.

Blacktown Spartans slipped back one place to fifth following their 2-0 loss to Sydney United 58 who have jumped from tenth to seventh. United’s goals were scored by D. Brischeto and M. Conlon.

Blacktown City dropped one place to eighth when they were beaten 2-1 by Manly United who have shot from eleventh to ninth thanks to this result and their 1-1 draw with South Coast Wolves in catch-up action from Round 6.

Rockdale City Suns were due to play the sixth placed Football NSW Institute but the result was not available at the time of writing.

Bonnyrigg White Eagles are still at the top of the table despite suffering a 2-1 loss to third placed Marconi Stallions. The scorers for the Stallions were F. Sanjar Khani and B. Vella while J. Flynn found the net for Bonnyrigg.

APIA Leichhardt Tigers retained second place after they were washed out against eighth placed Sydney Olympic.

Sydney United 58 moved up one place to fourth thanks to their 3-0 success over Blacktown Spartans who have dropped from fourth to seventh. United’s goals came from A. Agamemnonos, C. Cockerie and A. Vrlic.

Sutherland Sharks rose one place to fifth when they came up with a 3-1 victory over Rockdale City Suns who have slipped back one place to twelfth. Scoring the goals for the Sharks were T. Papa, C. Hancock and L. Kovacic while C. Hopkins netted for the Suns.

Blacktown City climbed one place to sixth following their 1-0 victory over Manly United who moved up one place to eleventh when they were 4-2 winners over South Coast Wolves in catch-up action from Round 6.

Ninth placed Central Coast Mariners posted a 1-0 result when the faced thirteenth placed South Coast Wolves.

Rockdale City Suns were due to play the tenth placed Football NSW Institute but the result was not available at the time of writing.

Sydney Olympic are still leading the way on the competition table following their 2-2 draw with APIA Leichhardt Tigers who have slipped back to third position. Olympic’s scorers were M. Trojkovski and D. Carreno while the goals for the Tigers came from L. Scott and O. Okan.

Blacktown City climbed one place to second thanks to their 3-0 victory over Manly United who have fallen back one place to tenth.

Central Coast Mariners are still in fourth position after they suffered a 4-0 loss to South Coast Wolves who have moved up one place to seventh as a consequence of this result. The Wolves had established a 3-0 lead before the interval and they sealed the result in the second half.

Blacktown Spartans rose from seventh to sixth when they posted a 1-0 result over Sydney United 58 who have tumbled back to eighth position. The winning goal was scored in the second half.

Rockdale City Suns are still in ninth place after they battled out a 1-1 draw with eleventh placed Sutherland Sharks. Scoring for the Suns was C. Lokolingoy while the Sharks’ goal came from N. Roberts.

The Suns were due to play the fifth placed Football NSW Institute but the result was not available at the time of writing.

Marconi Stallions registered their first win for the season when they produced a 1-0 result over eleventh placed Bonnyrigg White Eagles but it was not enough to lift the Stallions off the bottom of the table. The winning goal came from B. Cosic.

Blacktown Spartans are still the competition frontrunners thanks to their 2-1 victory over Sydney United 58 who have dropped back one place to third as a result.

Sydney Olympic climbed one place to second when they recorded a 1-0 result over APIA Leichhardt Tigers who have slipped back one place to seventh in the wash-up.

Marconi Stallions jumped from seventh to fourth when they were 3-2 winners over thirteenth placed Bonnyrigg White Eagles. Marconi’s goals were scored by J. Fulton (2) and N. Kuleski while Bonnyrigg’s scorers were Z. Majkic and M. Borovina.

Blacktown City slipped back one place to fifth after they battled out a 2-2 draw with Manly United who have fallen back one place to sixth. Scoring a double for Blacktown was N. Dimitriadis while Manly’s goals came from M. Bogunovic and L. McLean. 

Central Coast Mariners were elevated one place to ninth when they came up with a 3-0 win over South Coast Wolves who have slipped back one place to tenth.

Sutherland Sharks moved up to eleventh and Rockdale City Suns dropped back to twelfth when the Sharks claimed the points with a 3-2 victory in this match. The goals for Sutherland were scored by D. Ilic (2) and A. Baker while E. Weatherall netted a double for the Suns.

The Suns were due to play the eighth placed Football NSW Institute but the result was not available at the time of writing.
