The rain that fell during the week had an impact on the competition this week with four full fixtures being played, two games being played at another venue and only one venue was washed out completely. Catch-up matches are always tricky affairs so the true state of the tables will not be known until these games are played.
 
SUPA IGA NSW National Premier League Men’s 2 – Overview

Spirit FC would have been delighted with the fifteen points they bagged from their home fixture against Parramatta FC while Mounties Wanderers must have been very pleased when they collected fourteen points from their matches at Bankstown City Lions.

Sydney University pocketed thirteen points when they hosted Hills Brumbies while Macarthur Rams and Bankstown Berries shred the spoils at eight points apiece.

Northern Tigers grabbed all six points from the two matches they played against St George while the clash between Fraser Park and Mt Druitt Town Rangers was washed out and will be rescheduled shortly.

Sydney University climbed to the top of the table this week when they took twelve points from their home fixture against fourth placed Hills Brumbies while Mt Druitt Town Rangers slipped back to second spot after their fixture at eighth placed Fraser Park was washed out.

Third placed Spirit FC bagged all twelve points when they hosted twelfth placed Parramatta FC while Mounties Wanderers after their trip to Bankstown City Lions produced eight valuable points.

Bankstown Berries dropped back one place to sixth when their visit to Macarthur Rams yielded only four points with the Rams using heir share of the spoils to move up one place to ninth.

St George remained at seventh but Northern Tigers fall back one place to tent when their fixture was washed out.

In a top of the table clash, Sydney University moved to the top rung of the ladder this week when their third consecutive win was a 2-0 success over Hills Brumbies who have slipped back to second spot after suffering their second loss on the trot.

Spirit FC remained at third after they took their run of winning matches to seven games with a 1-0 scoreline over twelfth placed Parramatta FC who are still searching for their first point for the season. The winning goal was scored by S. Iredale.

The match between fourth placed St George and fifth placed Northern Tigers was washed out this week and it will be rescheduled shortly.

Mt Druitt Town Rangers retained sixth spot when their encounter with seventh placed Fraser Park also fell victim to the mid-week rain.

Eighth placed Mounties Wanderers extended their unbeaten run to four matches when they were 4-0 winners over eleventh placed Bankstown City Lions who had won two of their previous three matches.

Bankstown Berries moved up one place to ninth when they recovered from last week’s loss with a 2-1 victory over Macarthur Rams who have slipped back to tenth position. Scoring both goals for the Berries was A. Neoklis while B. Cummins netted for the Rams.

 

SUPA IGA NSW National Premier League Men’s 2 – Grade 13

Bankstown Berries are still leading the way on this table after they bounced back from the disappointment of a loss last week by posting a 1-1 draw with fifth placed Macarthur Rams who have now gone seven games without loss. The Berries took a first half lead thanks to a goal from A. Martis and the Rams found an equaliser in the second half through J. Starr.

Mounties Wanderers, who were coming off a loss and a draw in their last two games, climbed two places up the ladder to second when they registered a 2-1 victory over twelfth placed Bankstown City Lions

Sydney University jumped from sixth to third when they produced a 2-0 win over ninth placed Hills Brumbies. Uni had drawn two and lost two of their previous four matches while the Brumbies had recorded wins in their last two games.

Mt Druitt Town Rangers dropped back two places to fourth when their clash with eleventh placed Fraser Park was washed out.

St George tumbled back from third to sixth after their match against tenth placed Northern Tigers was also washed out.

Spirit FC remained in seventh spot were 2-1 winners over eighth placed Parramatta FC. This was the first time that Spirit had strung together wins in consecutive weeks this season. The goal scorers for Spirit were A. Sweedan and A. Nisbet while Parramatta’s scorer was P. Henry.

Mt Druitt Town Rangers were able to hold onto the top spot on the table and their lead of eight points when their clash with Fraser Park was washed out. The news was not so good for Fraser park as they have drifted back one place to seventh.

Second placed Hills Brumbies missed the chance to narrow the gap on the leaders when they suffered a 3-1 loss to Sydney University who have climbed from fifth to third. This result broke the four game winning streak of the Brumbies.

Mounties Wanderers slipped back one place to fourth when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Bankstown City Lions who have dropped from fourth to sixth.

Spirit FC shot from seventh to fifth thanks to a 4-1 victory over Parramatta FC who have dropped back one place to eleventh. This win broke a five match losing streak for Spirit thanks to goals from N. Vatandoust (2), A. Pedavoli and J. Heyworth. Parramatta’s goal was scored by B. Wiafe.

St George remained in seventh position after their clash with Northern Tigers was washed out, an outcome that has pushed the Tigers back one place to twelfth.

Bankstown Berries managed to hold onto ninth place after they suffered a 2-1 loss to Macarthur Rams who have climbed from twelfth to tenth with only their second win of the season. The goals for the Rams were scored in the first half by M. Lymberis and H. Al-Taay while the Berries’ goal came from a second half strike from A. Do Pao.

 

SUPA IGA NSW National Premier League Men’s 2 – Grade 15

Mt Druitt Town Rangers have retained their place at the top of the table but their margin has been reduced to three points after their match against fourth placed Fraser Park was washed out.

Sydney University moved up one place to second on goal difference when they registered a 3-0 win over Hills Brumbies who have dropped back one place to fifth. All the goals in the match came in the second half. This was a third consecutive win for Uni after having their five match winning steal broken by two losses.

Spirit FC slipped back to third place on goal difference after they were 3-2 winners over Parramatta FC who have fallen back two places to eleventh. The goals for Spirit came from J. Robertson (2) and m. Duguid while Parramatta’s scorers were S. Ismaeel and N. Rayner.

Sixth placed Bankstown Berries suffered their third straight loss when they went down 2-0 to Macarthur Rams who have jumped two places up the ladder to ninth thanks to goals from H. Bagot and T. Cheung. The Rams have now taken points from three consecutive matches.

Mounties Wanderers climbed one place to seventh when they battled out a 1-1 draw with Bankstown City Lions who are still at the foot of the table. 

Northern Tigers dropped back one place to ninth when their match against tenth placed St George was washed out.

 

SUPA IGA NSW National Premier League Men’s 2 – Grade 16

Mounties Wanderers retained their place at the top of the table when they posted a very solid 6-0 result over twelfth placed Bankstown City Lions with the goals coming from Leyton Hinton (2), Michael Konestabo, Cody Franich and Matthew O’Neill. The Wanderers have now gone eight games since their only loss.

Northern Tigers moved up to second spot when they were 4-2 winners over St George who have dropped back one place to ninth. All the goals in this game came in a heart-stopping second half.

Spirit FC rose from fifth to third when they accounted for Parramatta FC with a 3-1 scoreline, an outcome that has pushed Parramatta back from second to fourth. The goals for Spirit were scored by C. Sheehan, A. Henderson and E. Manos while D. Ellul found the net for Parramatta.

Spirit’s upward movement on the table was aided by their Round 5 catch-up match against Bankstown City Lions which the Gladesville outfit won 5-1thanks to goals from D. Lara (3), D. Monra and R. Morsello while the goal for the Lions was scored by P. Liveris.

Sydney University slipped back one place to fifth when they suffered a 2-0 loss to Hills Brumbies who have climbed one place to sixth. This match was locked up at 0-0 at the interval.

Bankstown Berries jumped two places up the ladder when they produced a 5-2 victory over tenth placed Macarthur Rams. Scoring the goals for the Berries were I. Kamara (3), S. Kamara and S. Saleh while the goals for the Rams came from J. Runio and H. Bagot. Interestingly, all the goals came in the second half. 

Mt Druitt Town Rangers dropped from sixth to eighth when their match against eleventh placed Fraser Park was washed out.

 

SUPA IGA NSW National Premier League Men’s 2 – Grade 18

Mounties Wanderers claimed the top spot on the ladder this week following their 2-1 success over tenth placed Bankstown City Lions thanks to goals from Benjamin Gray and Bradley Oud.

Mt Druitt Town Rangers dropped back to second place on goal difference after their match against Fraser Park was washed out. That has forced Fraser Park back one place to sixth.

Parramatta FC moved up one place to third when they came up with a 3-2 victory over eleventh placed Spirit FC. Scoring the goals for Parramatta were C. Higgins, C. Juntree and J. Faux while Spirit’s goals came from A. Dauda and B. Wilson.

Spirit picked up a point from their Round 5 catch-up match against Bankstown City Lions when that game ended at 2-2 but the outcome did not affect the position of either team on the competition table. Spirit’s goals in that game were scored by B. Cameron and A. Dauda and the goals for the Lions came from F. Strati and Y. Rubasha.

Sydney University slipped back one place to fourth when they battled out a 1-1 draw with ninth placed Hills Brumbies with both goals coming in the second half of the match.

Northern Tigers rose from seventh to fifth after they produced a 3-2 victory over St George who have fallen back one place to seventh. Once again, all the goals were scored in the second half.

Twelfth placed Macarthur Rams battled out a 2-2 draw with eighth placed Bankstown Berries on Saturday with J. Benyammin scoring twice for the Rams while the Berries’ scorers were Y. Bah and A. Fofanah.
