History
Formed in 2008 by Kristian Collins and Eddie Senatore following a Futsal tour of Japan, Boomerangs FS is a Canberra-based club dedicated to providing playing and development opportunities to Futsal players across the ACT region. Boomerangs entered the 2009 NSW Super League with an eye to being promoted to premier league over a five-year period, but earlier than expected success saw the club elevated by the end of its second season. Boomerangs hold the same ambitions for its F-League campaign with an aim of giving its players even greater exposure at the highest level in Australia. A Boomerangs squad also travelled to Europe last year to take part in various competitions and matches against elite clubs and schools, with the side going on to win the NSW Premier League 16 boys title over summer.

Player to Watch
Nikola Orgill
Nikola Orgill may be new to the Futsal scene but the solid anchor/flank has certainly made her mark in Australia’s capital city. An experienced outdoor campaigner, Orgill took up the exciting indoor version 12 months ago and was an easy pick for the U19 ACT state side that starred at this year’s nationals. To cap off a fantastic year, the speedy sharpshooter gained selection to the FFA Allstars.
Rising Star
Maddy Whittall
Flank Maddy Whittall has been a solid Boomerangs performer throughout her years rising through the club’s junior teams. A pocket-rocket up and down the flanks, hardworking Whittall does an exceptional job of getting into fantastic forward positions and test the opposition defence.
Coach
Kristian Collins
Kristian Collins has coached various ACT representative teams over the last seven years ranging from Under-11 through to All Age teams. Collins currently holds an FFA Futsal Licence and recently completed the inaugural AFC Level 1 Licence held in Australia. A popular figure on the ACT Futsal scene, Collins has been part of three Capital Football overseas tours, 2007 to Spain, 2008 to Japan and 2012 to Europe. Collins also helped ACT Cobras to a nationals title in January.

Players to Watch
Rachel Perrins and Natalie Spirovski
Move over Batman and Robin, a new dynamic duo is in town. Warriors double act Rachel Perrins and Natalie Spirovski are the perfect examples of what happens when you fuse to atoms together. Perrins covers all positions on the pitch and owns a lethal shot off both feet, while Spirovski’s intelligent ball control and vision makes them an absolute explosion of trouble for their opposition.
Rising Star
Sheriden Kuiper
Zippy Sheriden Kuiper will be hard to keep an eye on as she twists, turns and darts past opponents with all the exuberance of a 19-year-old while still showing the composure of an experienced campaigner. Her speed will cause defences plenty of problems.
Coach
Ben Pollack
Ben Pollack has been at the helm of Dural’s women’s team for two years, taking them from a motley crew of inexperienced talent to serious senior contenders in the NSW Premier League. Pollack also coached the NSW Youth Women’s Thunder team last year and will be assisted by experienced Futsal exponents Tobias Seeto and Greg Giovenalli.

Website:  www.cobrasfutsal.com.au/mhfc                                 Email: melbourneheart@cobrasfutsal.com.au

Inspired by a vision for a broad based community team celebrating cultural diversity and sporting passion through football, Melbourne Heart FC was established in 2009. On a mission to create the complete football club, Heart teamed up with Cobras Futsal Club to join the 2012 Hummel F-League. Cobras FC began in 2006 as a founding club in the Melbourne Futsal League and in its six years Cobras has grown in stature to now boast the largest number of female players and state representatives of any Victorian club. The Cobras developmental philosophy led them to organise a trip to Spain in 2011 to play, train and watch Futsal at the highest level at host club El Pozo Murcia.
Honours

Player to Watch
Sienna Fogarty
A very accomplished Futsal player, Sienna Fogarty has been a stalwart in the state representative system for quite some time. With silky skills on and off the ball, Fogarty’s ability to read the game has stopped many an opposition attack and sparked many more offensive charges for her own side. This has helped her own the Boomerangs anchor role.
Rising Star
Elaina Vatcky
Elaina Vatcky is the youngest Futsal player to be selected to the NSW Senior Women’s team, breaking through at age 15. The enthusiastic flank has represented at state level since the age of 11 (three times as captain) and was also selected to this year’s national All Star team.
Coach
Sam Mlynarz
Sam brings a wealth of experience for someone of his age, the youngest AFC futsal license holder Sam has the tactical knowledge to get the best out of his talented squad. With 3 FFA all-stars, a Turkish international and a handful of W-League players at his disposal they’ll be equipped for a big year ahead.

PARRAMATTA BLUES
Member Federation: Football NSW                                           Year Established: 1993

History
Parramatta Blues was established in 1993. Parramatta was a consistent performer in the NSW Super League before withdrawing from competition in 2010. But now they’ve returned and aiming to bring a family oriented club back to the heights of elite Futsal. The Blues were created on a mantra to identify and develop the skills of kids in the western Sydney and expose them to this exciting game. Played F-League, finished mid-table, fantastic bunch of girls, won a tournament in Melbourne recently, bulk of team from that tournament. To provide people with opportunities to play at the highest level possible, hopefully they can be successful. They’re very excited, long overdue. Celebrating 21st birthday this year, want to be around for another 21.

Player to Watch
Jodie Bain
Experienced campaigner Jodie Bain has won almost everything a female footballer can win, so a women’s F-League trophy is good motivation. Bain plays for Marconi in the leading NSW women’s comp and is noted for her leadership qualities as much as her Futsal skills. The natural commander brings out the best in those around her so you can expect the Blues to be formidable competition.
Rising Star
Trudy Camelleri
Trudy Camelleri is no stranger to big-time sport having already played for Central Coast Mariners and Western Sydney Wanderers in the W-League. Currently holding midfield for Wanderers, the 21-year-old likes to be aggressive with the ball and will beat many defenders with her blistering pace. She also possesses a shot that flies like a rocket. Camelleri’s W-League experience will be a big plus for Parramatta.
Coach
Roy Cowie
When you want to be the best, you get the best to coach you. That adage certainly proves true for Parramatta Blues ambitions in gaining the services of much-respected Futsal coach Roy Cowie. The stoic mentor enjoyed unprecedented success in 12 highly successful years at power club Sydney City Eagles and has probably won more state titles than any coach in the country. He’d love to add an F-League trophy to his shiny resume.
Squad List

SOUTH BRISBANE

Website: www.southbrisbanefc.com                                                       Email: felipe@southbrisbanefc.com.au
History
South Brisbane Futsal Club mission is grand – to be the most successful Futsal club in Queensland and, ultimately, Australia – and they’re certainly on their way having seven of its nine club teams make the final of the Queensland Summer League… five of them lifting the trophy. The club also won more than half of the titles on offer at the 2013 Craig Foster Tournament. This sits well with a vision to increase Futsal participation numbers in the Brisbane area while supporting state and national pathways for players, coaches and officials, as directed by Football Queensland and Football Federation Australia. South Brisbane is Queensland’s first entry into the Hummel F-League.

Jo Burgess
Jo Burgess brings an incredible wealth of experience to South Brisbane having 19 years of Futsal under her belt. She’s represented both NSW and Queensland at the national championships and in 2008 travelled to Spain with the Australian women’s team to contest the AMF World Cup. Burgess has been a member of the Matildas squad for more than 10 years and played for Sydney FC and Brisbane Roar in the W-League. Her speed on the ball and ability to glide past players is smooth, and she always gives 100 per cent on court.
Rising Star
Paloma Oliveira
Target/flank Paloma Oliveira has played Futsal for five years, and is one a handful of Aussies to be able to have experience playing and training in her home Brazil. Oliveira is a NSW Premier League regular and is very skilful on the ball, can hold the ball well, loves to run at defenders and has a great strike on goal – all the right ingredients to be a dangerous player.
Coach
Felipe Amorim
Felipe Amorim brings a wealth of coaching experience and credentials to South Brisbane as holder of an AFC Level 1 Futsal and Level C Football licence from more than 10 years of Futsal mentoring. Amorim has coached Queensland and Victoria teams at the national championships, taking this year’s Queensland’s Men’s team to the semi-finals after finishing on top of the table following round robin games.

Player to Watch

Megan Embleton
Similar to her profession, baker Megan Embleton will serve a liberal dose of humble pie to opponents in this year’s Women’s F-League. The young pivot certainly won’t need to prove her dedication to the sport or her team as she travels from Orange to attend training, games and tournaments. Embleton is a natural leader with a never-say-die attitude and an inspiration to her team-mates. She played for Western NSW at nationals.
Rising Star
Amy Woodhouse
Promising goalkeeper Amy Woodhouse will gain plenty from her F-League excursion as she moves from the junior to senior ranks. She has been the backbone of a dominant Sutherland 16 Girls that has been crowned premiers and champions for the past two NSW Super League seasons. A product of the club’s development pathway and system, Woodhouse is dedicated to improving her knowledge and is ready for this year’s challenge.
Coach
Glenn Woodhouse and Glenn Errington
Glen ‘Woody’ Woodhouse and Glenn ‘Tank’ Errington know their stuff. Together, they have guided Sutherland’s 16 Girls side to an unbeaten two years of success and the Open Women’s team to a 2012 premiership-championship double. Both coach at NSW Premier League outdoor giant APIA Leichhardt and have had further success with Lightning outfits at nationals.

History
Combine four successful NSW Premier League clubs, add a liberal dose of state and national representatives, put a legend of the game in charge and you end up with a very competitive F-League entry – but Sydney Scorpions is no flash in the pan participant. Only players from the combined Inner West Magic, Enfield Rovers, Mascot Vipers and Campbelltown Quake super-force are allowed to play for Scorpions to give the clubs’ juniors a genuine pathway to top-level competition in Australia, and they’ve already assembled a very decent squad including all three goalscorers from this summer’s thrilling women’s premier league decider (Doris Osman, Filiz Urkanci and Logan Garard).

Player to Watch
Doris Osman
Exciting pivot Doris Osman was no surprise choice for this year’s NSW Premier League Open Women’s Most Valuable Player, her focus, ability to read the play and dazzling footwork underlining her sensational form all season for Mascot Vipers.
Rising Star
Rhianna Pollicina
She may be called ‘Mini’ but Rhianna Pollicina’s giant-sized heart is more than matched by her extraordinary talent. At just 16 years of age, the youngest member of the Scorpions squad carries a big burden at flank/target – but the Inner West Magic Open Women’s representative certainly won’t look out of place among the big names alongside her.
Coach
Erkin Osman
What more can be said about legend of the game, Erkin Osman. Australia’s most capped Futsal representative lived through the glory days of the indoor sport and, thankfully, decided to impart on others all he knows about Futsal. Osman coached Mascot Vipers to this year’s NSW Premier League Open Women’s premiership-championship double, is the current NSW Thunder women’s coach, and has an enviable task of guiding some of Sydney’s best female players at a national level.

Website: www.vicvipersfc.com.au                                              Email: info@vicvipersfc.com.au
History
The Victorian Vipers Futsal Club sprung from a need to offer training, playing and touring opportunities to players with a genuine interest in pursuing the sport at the highest levels. The club is the oldest surviving and arguably most successful Futsal model in Victoria and boasts up to eight players in the current Victorian senior squad. It also has three Futsalroos on its books. The Vipers is the only Victorian club to have represented Australia at FIFA and AMF (the sport’s world governing bodies) World Cups and international level as a coach or player. Their trophy cabinet is overflowing with state and national titles, the V- League Cup and League double, Football Federation Victoria State Championships, 5-a-side football Vodafone and Hyundai Championships and FFA Futsal championship awards. The Vipers also have a global gloss having toured and played against international club teams in exchanges with Thailand, China, Catalonia, France, England. Their F-League squad reflects this with players boasting backgrounds from Brazil, Colombia and Chile, and three of Western Australia’s hottest Futsal stars.

Player to Watch
Pretinha De Melo and Candice Sallama
Attacker Pretinha De Melo and goalkeeper Candice Sallama has made this year’s Vic Vipers women’s side a solid unit from back to front, so you can expect some excellent transition play. Long-time Viper De Melo will play flank and is noted for her goalscoring abilities. Sallama will be a brick wall in front of goals to bolster the Vipers defensive capacity.
Rising Star
Bethany Mason-Jones
Bethany Mason-Jones caught the Vipers eye with a standout goalkeeping performance at this year’s nationals. The 15-year-old showed plenty of promise with her glovework at the tournament and has been un-nerving with her confidence in stepping up against senior players at training. A strong work ethic has also helped with her personal development.
Coach
Garry Liakoureas
Garry Liakoureas has been a Futsal coach at association and representative level for quite some time and is a large advocate for the women’s game. He’s thrilled with the introduction of a women’s national league and is looking forward to giving his players exposure at Australia’s highest standard. Victorian Futsal veteran Spiro Kargas, who has guided many state teams to national success, will be at his side.
