Earlwood Wanderers FC entertained by Sydney FC

Sydney FC A-League players Peter Triantis, Mitchell Mallia and Matt Jurman trained with over 150 young footballer’s at Earlwood Wanderers FC, Johnny Warren’s former Club held at Earlwood Oval last Thursday 6 June 2013.
Peter, Mitchell and Matt were involved in 10 team mini training sessions with a variety of Earlwood Wanderers FC age groups from 7 years old up to 16 year old teams last Thursday evening with their A-League ambassadors kicking off proceedings from 6pm.
All three Sydney FC players participated in a variety of skills, helping the young players fine tune their first touch of the football as well as joining them for small sided games which at times got very competitive.
At one point, Peter, Mitchell and Matt blended in just like one of the younger Earlwood players – perhaps recollecting their own path to professional football.
With the end of each mini training session with every Earlwood Wanderers FC team, the Sydney FC guest players posed for a team photo with the players, managers and the onlooking parents.
After completing ten sessions with the kids, the Sydney FC players headed towards the Earlwood ClubHouse were they signed gear, boots and other memorabilia on behalf of the waiting queue of junior players from 7pm with a photo opportunity.
“ This is what football is about, building a grassroots community that relates to the pathways kids may choose to follow, whether its State League, A-League, Young and senior Socceroos for their next move in football, these visits are essential for allowing young aspirational players to dream of what might be” said Club spokesperson, Jim Tatsis
