Round 13 Review – League Two Men’s
Round 13 of the 2026 Football NSW League Two Men’s season saw the battle in the top half of the ladder continue to tighten, while the league leaders continued to blaze ahead.
The Match of the Round this week saw South Coast Flame FC climb the ladder following a strong home showing against Granville Rage.

Match of the Round: South Coast Flame FC 2-0 Granville Rage
South Coast Flame FC moved up into 3rd on the ladder after keeping Granville Rage to nil for a third-straight head-to-head match following a 2-0 home win.
Following a timid start to the match, both sides had a chance each, the Flame through Thomas Dunn in the 8th minute who was unable to capitalise, and the Rage midway through the first half through Nicholas Issa, whose effort hit the crossbar.
South Coast found the lead in spectacular style in the 36th minute through Matthew Mazevski, who struck the ball on the half volley from just inside his own half and found the back of the net, Rage goalkeeper Samuel Bortolazzo caught off guard.
Granville, down 1-0 at the break, came out strong in the second half; strong combination play from Ante Tomic and Timothy Borg-Williams seeing the latter strike over from a strong position.
Borg-Williams and Tomic combined again a few moments later, the latter forcing Flame goalkeeper Nenad Vekic into a strong save.
The Flame were on the back foot, the Rage having further chances to Borg-Williams, but momentum shifted in the 79th minute when Jamie Dib was fouled inside the box, Mazevski stepping up and slotting the penalty home to give South Coast a 2-0 lead.
Ninety seconds later, the Flame were awarded another penalty when Bortolazzo brought down Michael Trajkovski in the box, but Mazevski missed his chance to score a hat-trick, his effort striking the post.
The Flame saw out the rest of the match to secure a big 2-0 win, a victory which sees them rise into third and saw them hand the Rage a third loss from their past four matches.

Mounties Wanderers FC 1-0 Inner West Hawks FC
Mounties Wanderers FC continued their dominance atop the league ladder, scoring late to secure a 1-0 home win over a resilient Inner West Hawks FC.
The Hawks made the match tough for Mounties, strong in transition and being organised in defence, making it difficult for Mounties to break down.
Mounties waited for their chances late against a fatiguing Hawks side and took it in the 83rd minute when Kento Awano made the most of his opportunity, scoring for the third time in four weeks to give Mounties a 1-0 lead.
Mounties made the most of their stamina in the final 20 minutes to come away with a 1-0 home win.
The win for Mounties saw them extend their lead to 12 points atop the ladder, while the loss for Inner West saw them lose back-to-back matches.

Hawkesbury City FC 3-3 Nepean FC
Nepean FC came from two goals down and came from behind twice to earn a 3-3 draw away to Hawkesbury City FC, who played 77 minutes of the match with 10 men.
Hawkesbury started the match on the back foot when Jude Bramhall was shown a red card for a last-man challenge, but the Hawks took a 1-0 lead into half-time when Harrison Fox broke through and scored in the 35th minute.
The Hawks doubled their lead in the 61st minute when captain Harry Drew stepped up to convert a penalty, the captain scoring his first goal of the season following his return from injury.
Nepean halved the deficit in the 65th minute when Luke Williams found space in the box and slotted the ball home, before they restored parity in the 74th minute following a one-two played to Williams, who completed his double.
Aaron Peterson scored within five minutes of coming off the bench for the Hawks in the 83rd minute, heading home off a Harrison Fox cross, to give the Hawks the lead once again.
However, late drama followed when Nepean were awarded a penalty in the third minute of stoppage time; Toby Witjes stepped up and slotted the ball into the top corner to earn a 3-3 draw for Nepean.

Bankstown United FC 3-2 Gladesville Ryde Magic
Bankstown United FC earned the win late against a resilient Gladesville Ryde Magic side to snap a run of back-to-back losses.
Gladesville capitalised off a defensive error in the first half to lead 1-0 at the break.
Bankstown started the second half strongly and restored parity in the 53rd minute through Mitchell Cross, who converted a penalty to put Bankstown back of level terms.
The hosts took the lead in the 70th minute when a quick throw-in found Noah Albert, who slotted the ball into the back of the net to give Bankstown a 2-1 lead.
Gladesville equalised a few minutes later from a set piece to level the match at 2-2.
However, Bankstown showed their fight late, sealing the 3-2 win in the 85th minute off a header from Harry Stavros.

Central Coast United FC 0-0 Fraser Park FC
Neither Central Coast United FC nor Fraser Park FC could be separated, the two sides playing out a goalless draw.
Central Coast controlled possession in the first half, their biggest chances falling to Jay Swaddling and Jesse Roder in one-on-one situations.
Fraser Park had late chances in the first half to Francis Mcalpine and Christian Dos Santos, but their respective efforts found Central Coast goalkeeper, Daniel Vickers.
The second half saw the inverse of the first, Fraser Park holding the ball well but failing to convert chances for Reuben Awaritefe and Mason Fernandez.
Central Coast had a late chance to take all three points, but Vickers stood tall in goal for Fraser Park to deny Kirby Wilding.
The result for Central Coast saw them end a run of back-to-back losses, while for Fraser Park it kept them in 2nd on the ladder.
Fraser Park also progressed to the sixth preliminary round of the Australia Cup mid-week following a 6-2 win over League One Men’s side Bankstown City FC and face fellow League Two Men’s side Bankstown United FC in the next round on Tuesday, 5 May.

Dunbar Rovers FC 1-2 Sydney University SFC
Sydney University SFC won a third match from their past four after a 2-1 away win over Dunbar Rovers FC.
University took a 1-0 lead in the 8th minute when Joseph Roddy floated a free kick into the box, finding Elliott Breakspear in the middle, who slotted the ball home.
Dunbar levelled the match in the 31st minute when Bastian Monroy found Jack Crotty on the edge of the box, who found the top corner with a clinical finish.
Dunbar had a big chance to Daniel Goni, but his effort was saved well by University goalkeeper Alejandro Briones; University capitalising in stoppage time through Michael Morrow, who scored one-on-one to give University a 2-1 lead at half-time.
Both sides had their chances to score in the second half, Erik Hamlat coming closest for Dunbar, with his effort hitting the post.
In the end, University held on for a 2-1 win which saw them continue their good form and saw Dunbar’s four-match winning streak end.
Sydney University also progressed to the sixth preliminary round of the Australia Cup mid-week following a 4-3 win on penalties over ESFA club Glebe Gorillas; they face NPL side APIA Leichhardt for a spot in the next round on Tuesday, 5 May.

Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC 3-0 Parramatta FC
A nine-minute blitz saw Bonnyrigg White Eagles rise to defeat 10-man Parramatta FC in a battle of the eagles.
Parramatta could not take their chances in the first half, both sides heading into the sheds level at 0-0.
Disaster struck for Parramatta in the 67th minute when goalkeeper Justin Biega was shown a red card for taking down a Bonnyrigg attacker in the box following a breakaway.
Asmir Kadric stepped up and converted from the spot to give Bonnyrigg a 1-0 lead.
Bonnyrigg doubled their lead in the 72nd minute when broken play following a set piece saw a ball delivered into the box for Tristian Vidic, who slotted the ball home at the far post.
The hosts rounded out the 3-0 win in the 79th minute through Cristian Maldonado, who found the top corner with a strike from 25 yards out.
Bonnyrigg, however, went out of the Australia Cup mid-week following a 4-1 away loss to League One Men’s side, Hakoah Sydney City East FC.

Camden Tigers FC had a bye in Round 13 and went out of the Hahn Australia Cup mid-week following a 5-1 home loss to NPL Men’s NSW side, St George City FA.
