The big wet caused only two fixtures to be lost this weekend and the matches that were played have helped to pose more questions than they have provided answers regarding the possible final placings of the various clubs and teams.
IGA National Premier League NSW Men’s 1 – Overview
Last time the clubs met Sutherland Sharks secured twelve points from their matches against Bonnyrigg White Eagles but the Sharks went one better this week when they took sixteen points from the six matches.
Blacktown City bagged thirteen points from their first round fixture against Central Coast Mariners but this week’s return fixture was washed out,
Blacktown Spartans earned ten points when they faced South Coast Wolves last time around and this time the Spartans added fifteen points to their tally from the six games.
Manly United snatched twelve points from their first round encounter with Rockdale City Suns but this time the northern beaches outfit had to settle for ten points from six matches played.
APIA Leichhardt Tigers and Sydney United 58 shared the first round spoils when they took eight points each from the weekend but this time United took twelve points from the six matches completed
Sydney Olympic pocketed fifteen points when they met Marconi Stallions in the first round but this week’s return fixture was washed out.
Blacktown Spartans and Football NSW Institute split the first round points at seven apiece but on this occasion the Spartans earned eight points from the four matches played.
IGA National Premier League NSW Men’s 1 – Club Championship
Sutherland Sharks arrived at this round as the leader in this table by a margin of sixteen points and they were up against sixth placed Bonnyrigg White Eagles from whom the Sharks had taken eight of the first round points. this time the Sharks collected ten points from the day and that leaves them at the top of the table while Bonnyrigg have dropped to seventh.
Blacktown City began the day in second place and their first round clash with eleventh placed Central Coast Mariners had yielded ten points. When this fixture was washed out Blacktown slipped back to third and the Mariners remained at eleventh.
Blacktown Spartans kicked off this round in third position and they had bagged seven points last time they faced tenth placed South Coast Wolves. The Spartans claimed all twelve points this time and they have climbed into second spot while the Wolves are still tenth.
Before a ball was kicked Manly United were in fourth place and they had earned eight points when they met twelfth placed Rockdale City Suns last time. Manly had to settle for four points this time around and that has forced them back to fifth position while the Suns have remained at the foot of the table despite collecting seven points.
APIA Leichhardt Tigers came into this round in fifth place and they had taken seven points from their first round clash with seventh placed Sydney United 58 who were only one point behind the Tigers. United bagged eight points this week and that has moved then up to fourth place while the Tigers have been pushed back to sixth.
Eighth placed Sydney Olympic collected nine points from their last meeting with ninth placed Marconi Stallions.  However, this week’s matches were washed out, leaving the clubs exactly where they were on the table.

Manly United started the day as the competition frontrunners by a margin of three points and Rockdale City Suns were in tenth position. Manly had taken the first round points when they were 1-0 winners but on this occasion the teams shared the points when the Suns held their better performed opponents to a 1-1 draw with both goals being scored in the second half. Manly’s scorer was J. Trzecinski while J. Trajkovski found the net for Rockdale. That has allowed Manly to remain at the top of the ladder and helped the Suns to climb to ninth position.
Blacktown City came into this round in second place and they were due to face twelfth placed Central Coast Mariners. Blacktown were 6-0 winners when the teams met in the first round but this week’s return match was washed out. Blacktown have slipped back to third and the Mariners are still twelfth.

Last time the teams saw each other the match ended in a 1-1 draw but this time the Spartans claimed all the points when they produced a 2-1 come-from-behind victory as the Wolves had taken a 1-0 lead before the interval. The Spartans have climbed to second spot and the Wolves have hung onto fourth.

The teams had shared the first round points with a scoreless draw and history repeated as if to prove that there is nothing between the teams when they battled out a 1-1 draw this time. The teams tumbled back to sixth and seventh places.
Sutherland Sharks were in seventh place on goal difference when this match kicked off while Bonnyrigg White Eagles were in eighth position. When they saw each other last time the teams battled out a scoreless draw but this week the Sharks took all the points when they won 2-0 thanks to strikes from J. Cavanagh and M. Sidney. The Sharks have moved up to fifth and Bonnyrigg have remained at eighth.
When the day began Marconi Stallions were in ninth position while Sydney Olympic were eleventh. Olympic had claimed the first round points with a 3-0 victory but this week’s return match was washed out. that has forced the Stallions back to tenth and Olympic are still eleventh.

Sutherland Sharks were six points clear at the top of the table when they kicked off this week’s match while Bonnyrigg White Eagles were in eleventh position. The first round points went to the Sharks when they were 5-3 winners and they completed the double this time when they posted a 3-0 result. The goals for the winners came from D. Papoulias, J. Papagelis and K. Grozos. The Sharks have retained the lead and their margin while Bonnyrigg are still eleventh.
Manly United arrived at this match in second place and they faced thirteenth placed Rockdale City Suns. Manly had collected the first round points with a 3-0 result and they completed the double this week following their 3-1 success over the Suns. Manly’s scorers were K. Conna, C. Southee-Sami and B. Koop. Manly are still in second spot and Rockdale have remained at the foot of the table.
Blacktown City were in third place and Central Coast Mariners were tenth at the start of the day and Blacktown had recorded a solid 9-0 result last time the teams met. However, this week’s match was washed out and that has forced Blacktown back to fourth place while the Mariners are still tenth.
South Coast Wolves came into this match in fourth position and they were up against fifth placed Blacktown Spartans who were three points further down the table. When they met in the first round the Wolves collected the points with a 3-1 scoreline but the tables were turned this time when the Spartans posted a 3-1 result of their own. That has pushed Wolves back to fifth place.
The Spartans were also due to face the twelfth placed Football NSW Institute who the Spartans had beaten 2-1 in the first round. This time around the Spartans posted a 4-2 victory and that, combined with their win on Saturday was enough to take them up to third place.

The first round points went to Olympic when they won that match 3-1 but this week’s return match was washed out. That has allowed Olympic to hold onto sixth spot but the Stallions have slipped back to eighth.

Sydney United 58 were in seventh place at kick-off time while APIA Leichhardt Tigers were just two points further back in eleventh position. The Tigers had claimed the first round points with a 2-0 win but the account was squared this time when United posted a 2-1 result after the game was locked up at 1-1 at the break. That leaved United at seventh and the Tigers at eleventh.

At kick-off time Bonnyrigg White Eagles were leading the way on the competition table on goal difference while Sutherland Sharks were five points further back in fourth position. The Sharks were 2-1 winners when the teams met in the first round and they completed the double with a 2-0 result on this occasion thanks to first half goals from C. Devlin and C. Hancock. Bonnyrigg were able to hang onto the top spot this week while the Sharks have moved up to third.
Marconi Stallions started the day in second place on goal difference and they had beaten ninth placed Sydney Olympic when the teams met in the first round. However, this week’s return match was washed out. The Stallions have retained second spot and Olympic are still ninth.

The first round clash had ended in a 1-1 draw but this time United collected the points with a 2-0 win. The teams have remained where they were on the table but the Tigers’ lead has been cut to three points.
Sydney Olympic were in second place when the day started and they were due to meet thirteenth placed Marconi Stallions. Olympic were 1-0 winners in the first round clash but this week’s return match was washed out.  Both teams held onto their places on the table.
Blacktown City came into this round in third place and they had suffered a 2-0 loss when they faced eleventh placed Central Coast Mariners last time around. This week’s match was another victim of the weather. The teams remained where they were on the ladder.

The two results have allowed the Spartans to move up to fourth position while the Institute are now sixth.

When this match kicked off Blacktown Spartans were leading the way on the competition table by five points and they met tenth placed South Coast Wolves who had lost the first round clash with the Spartans 2-0. Blacktown secured the points once again when they came up with a 3-1 scoreline this week. The Wolves are still placed tenth and the Spartans are still at the top of the table.
Blacktown Spartans were also due to play against the ninth placed Football NSW Institute. The teams had battled out a 2-2 draw in their first round encounter but the result of this week’s match was not available at the time of writing.
Marconi Stallions came into this round in second place and they had gone down 2-0 last time they faced third placed Sydney Olympic. Unfortunately, this week’s return match was washed out. the Stallions have held onto second spot and Olympic are still third.
