With six full rounds and a number of catch-up games to be played, the race is well and truly on for the places in the finals series and the evidence of the serious nature of this chace is clearly seen in the results of this weekend.

SUPA IGA National Premier League NSW Men’s 2 – Overview

Mt Druitt Town Rangers had collected twelve points from the six first round matches against Northern Tigers and this week the Rangers took all eighteen points from the encounter.

Sydney University earned twelve points from their first round meeting with St George but the tables were turned this time as the Saints secured ten points from the clash.

Spirit FC had claimed thirteen points last time they faced Bankstown City Lions and they improved on that this week when Spirit earned sixteen points from the weekend matches.

Mounties Wanderers had taken ten points from their first round engagement with Hills Brumbies and the Wanderers went on to gain eleven points from this week’s matches.

Bankstown Berries pocketed eleven points from the first round fixture against Parramatta FC and they continued that trend when they took thirteen points from this weekend’s matches.

Fraser Park gained eleven points when they faced Macarthur Rams in the first round but on this occasion the clubs shared the spoils at eight points apiece.

Mt Druitt Town Rangers are now six points clear at the top of the table after they gained all twelve points from their visit to ninth placed Northern Tigers. The Rangers had taken eight of the first round points.  

Second placed Sydney University were forced to accept just seven points from their matches against seventh placed St George from whom Uni had taken nine of the first round points.

Spirit FC are third after they earned ten points from their fixture against eleventh placed Bankstown City Lions. Spirit had taken nine points from the first round matches.

Hills Brumbies are in fourth place following their gain of four points from their clash with sixth placed Mounties Wanderers who claimed seven points from the fixture. The Brumbies had collected seven points from the first round encounter.

Fifth placed Bankstown Berries collected nine points when the faced twelfth placed Parramatta FC after the Berries had taken ten of the first round points.

Tenth placed Macarthur Rams showed a gain of seven points from their meeting with eighth placed Fraser Park, reversing the first round outcome when Fraser Park took seven points from the day.

Sydney University are leading the way on the table by a single point following their 1-1 draw with fifth placed St George who had claimed the first round points with a 3-2 result.  Uni’s goal came from C. Spyroulias and the goal for the Saints was scored by H. Jomaa

Hills Brumbies are in second spot after they were 2-1 winners over ninth placed Mounties Wanderers and that completes the double for the Brumbies as they had won the first round match 1-0.

Third placed Spirit FC produced a 3-0 victory over eleventh placed Bankstown City Lions who Spirit had beaten 5-1 when they faced off in the first round.

Fraser Park are sixth following their 1-0 win over tenth placed Macarthur Rams and that completes the double as Fraser Park were 2-1 winners last time the teams saw each other. The winning goal came from R. Tran-Huynh.

Eighth placed Bankstown Berries accounted for twelfth placed Parramatta FC with a 3-0 scoreline, repeating the first round outcome when the Berries also posted a 3-0 result.

Bankstown Berries are five points clear at the top of the table after they produced a 4-1 success over ninth placed Parramatta FC who the Berries had beaten 5-0 in the first round.

Second placed Mt Druitt Town Rangers posted a 4-3 victory when they faced eleventh placed Northern Tigers who had lost the first round match by the odd goal in five. The Rangers’ goals were scored by J. Roberts (2), C. Ryan and L. Wenlock.

Mounties Wanderers are in third position following their 2-1 result over seventh placed Hills Brumbies. This gives the Wanderers the double as they were 2-0 winners in the first round.

Fourth placed Sydney University came up with a 3-0 victory over eighth placed St George who had lost the first round encounter by a 2-0 scoreline. Uni’s goals were scored by B. Barataud, C. Sinacori and C. Peters.

Macarthur Rams are in fifth position after they battled out a scoreless draw with tenth placed Fraser Park who the Rams had beaten 3-0 last time the teams saw each other.

Spirit FC are five points outside the top five in sixth spot following their scoreless draw with twelfth placed Bankstown City Lions who had suffered a 3-0 loss in the first round.

Mt Druitt Town Rangers are the competition frontrunners by a margin of three points following their 2-1 victory over ninth placed Northern Tigers. The teams had battled out a 2-2 first round draw. The goal for the Tigers came from N. Lozada.

Sydney University are in second spot after they produced a 1-0 success over tenth placed St George who Uni had beaten 2-0 when they met in the first round. The lone goal was scored by J. Swibel.

Third placed Fraser Park suffered a 1-0 loss when they faced eleventh placed Macarthur Rams, reversing the first round outcome when Fraser Park had come up with a 4-0 result. The winning goal was scored by E. Maguire.

Mounties Wanderers are in fourth position after they recorded a 2-0 win over sixth placed Hills Brumbies. When they met in the first round the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Bankstown City Lions are in seventh spot following their 1-0 loss to eighth placed Spirit FC and that squares the account as the Lions had won the first round match 3-1.

Mt Druitt Town Rangers have lead of nine points at the top of the table after they were 2-0 winners over eighth placed Northern Tigers who the Rangers had beaten 6-1 when they met last time.

Second placed Sydney University suffered a 1-0 loss when they faced fifth placed St George, reversing the first round outcome when Uni had recorded a 2-0 result.

Spirit FC are in third position following their 2-1 victory over tenth placed Bankstown City Lions. That has given Spirit the double as they also won the first round match 2-1.

Fourth placed Hills Brumbies fought out a 2-2 draw with sixth placed Mounties Wanderers. When they met last time, the Brumbies had claimed all the points with a 2-0 result.

Fraser Park are in seventh position after they suffered a 3-0 loss to ninth placed Macarthur Rams. The first round clash had ended in a 2-2 draw. The goals for the Rams were scored by  K. Bates, F. Fielding and T. Cheung

Parramatta FC produced a 2-0 victory over Bankstown Berries this week and that has allowed Parramatta to move up to eleventh place while the Berries have slipped back to twelfth. Their first round encounter finished in a 1-1 draw.

Mounties Wanderers are the competition leaders by a margin of three points following their 1-1 draw with Hills Brumbies who the Wanderers had beaten 3-1 in their firs round match.

Second placed Parramatta FC were held to a 1-1 draw by fourth placed Bankstown Berries who had lost the first round clash with Parramatta by a 4-2 scoreline.

Spirit FC are in third position after they came up with a 3-0 victory over twelfth placed Bankstown City Lions who Spirit had beaten 5-1 when they met in the first round. Spirit’s goals were scored by E. Manos and C. Sheehan.

Mt Druitt Town Rangers are placed fifth after they produced a 3-0 win over seventh placed Northern Tigers. The first round match had ended in a 3-3 draw. The goals for the Rangers came from A. Zambrano, J. Marshall and C. Wright.

Sydney University are in sixth spot and only one point outside the top five following their 2-1 loss to eleventh placed St George and that completes the double for the Saints as they had also won the first round clash 2-1.

Macarthur Rams are in ninth place after they battled out a scoreless draw with tenth placed Fraser Park. The first round match ended in a 2-2 draw.

Mt Druitt Town Rangers maintained their one point lead at the top of the table when they bounced back from last week’s loss to post a 2-0 result over fifth placed Northern Tigers who the Rangers had beaten 3-1 in the first round. Scoring for the Rangers were S. Hawthorne and C. Edmunds.

Second placed Mounties Wanderers accounted for ninth placed Hills Brumbies with a solid 4-0 scoreline and that completes the double for the Wanderers as they were 1-0 winners in the first round.

Sydney University are in third place following their 3-2 loss to eighth placed St George, reversing the outcome of the first round clash when Uni were 3-2 winners.

Fourth placed Fraser Park produced a 3-0 result when they faced twelfth placed Macarthur Rams and that gives Fraser Park the double after they had posted a 4-0 result last time around. the goals for Fraser Park were scored by N. Spinola, T. Ornelas and D. Sabljak.

Bankstown Berries are sixth and only one point outside the top five after they recorded a 1-0 victory over seventh placed Parramatta FC. The first round match ended in a scoreless draw.

Eleventh placed Spirit FC registered a very solid 6-0 win when they met tenth placed Bankstown City Lions. They had battled out a 2-2 draw when they met in the first round. Spirit’s goals were scored by A. Henderson (3), M. Bowd, D. Jovic and A. Dauda.
