With just four rounds to go, and a healthy number of catch-up games, every single point is vitally important to every team and so the intensity of every match is certain to go up at least a notch from now on. That certainly seemed to be the case this weekend.
IGA National Premier League NSW Men’s 1 – Overview

Blacktown Spartans and APIA Leichhardt Tigers had shared the first round spoils at eight points apiece but this time the Spartans claimed twelve of the available points.

Marconi Stallions and Central Coast Mariners had taken nine points each when they met in the first round. However, on this occasion the Mariners bagged thirteen points from the fixture.

Manly United had secured nine points from their first round clash with Sydney Olympic and they went on with the job, taking twelve points from this week’s encounter.

 

South Coast Wolves pocketed ten points from the six matches they played against Rockdale City Suns last time around and this time the Wolves improved on that by claiming thirteen points from the Suns.

Sydney United 58 collected ten points from their first round encounter with Sutherland Sharks but this time around the clubs shared the spoils, each taking eight points from the fixture.

Blacktown City bagged eleven points when they last faced up to Bonnyrigg White Eagles and City repeated that effort as they once again collected eleven points from Bonnyrigg.

IGA National Premier League NSW Men’s 1 – Club Championship

Sutherland Sharks and Sydney United 58 had split the first round points at six apiece and they did very much the same thing this time around when they each had five points to show for their efforts at the end of the day. That leaves the Sharks at the top of the table and United have remained at fourth.

Blacktown Spartans had collected eight points from their first round meeting with APIA Leichhardt Tigers and they went one better this week when the Spartans took nine points from the day to hold onto second place on this table while the Tigers have slipped back one place to sixth.

Blacktown City and Bonnyrigg White Eagles had shared the first round spoils at six points apiece but on this occasion City made off with seven points from the clash. They are still in seventh position but Bonnyrigg have dropped back one place to seventh.

Manly United pocketed eight points when they faced Sydney Olympic in the first round but this week the clubs each took six points from the return fixture.  That was enough to allow Manly to climb two places up the ladder to fifth place while Olympic have held onto eighth place.

When they met in the first round Rockdale City Suns had claimed seven points from the day against South Coast Wolves but it was a very different story this time around as the Wolves collected ten points from this week’s encounter. While that has left the Wolves at tenth, Rockdale have dropped back one place to twelfth.

Marconi Stallions and Central Coast Mariners had each taken six points from their first round clash but this time the Mariners came to the fore when they earned seven points from the day. That has allowed them to move up one place to eleventh while the Stallions have managed to hold onto ninth place.

IGA National Premier League NSW Men’s 1 – Grade 12

In Round 15 catch-up action Blacktown Spartans were 2-0 winners over Rockdale City Suns with both goals coming in the first half and that put the Spartans into the top spot on the competition table.

Blacktown Spartans held onto the competition lead this week when they accounted for APIA Leichhardt Tigers with a 1-0 scoreline thanks to a first-half strike, an outcome which has left the Tigers at sixth. When they met in the first round the Spartans won the match with a 3-1 scoreline.

Blacktown City had beaten Bonnyrigg White Eagles 2-0 when they faced each other in the first round and City repeated the dose this time when they once again produced a 2-0 victory with both goals being scored in the second half. Blacktown have remained in second spot, just one point behind the leaders and Bonnyrigg have held onto eighth position.

Manly United posted a 1-0 result when they faced Sydney Olympic in the first round and the northern beaches side completed the double this week when they were 4-0 winners. This has left Manly in third place while Olympic are still in eleventh position. Manly’s goals were scored by J. Hollman (2), A. Gurd and V. Hudy.

South Coast Wolves and Rockdale City Suns had battled out a 1-1 first round draw but this week the Wolves claimed all the points with a 5-0 scoreline after leading 3-0 at the interval. That has kept the Wolves in fourth position but it has forced the Suns to drop back one place to tenth. The scorers for the Wolves were A. Masciovecchio (2), J. Mortimer (2) and D. Cunzolo.

Sydney United 58 were 2-0 winners in their first round meeting with Sutherland Sharks but this time the teams shared the spoils when their match ended in a scoreless draw. United have retained fifth position and the Sharks have remained at seventh, just two points short of a place in the top five.

Marconi Stallions are still in ninth position after they fought out a scoreless draw with twelfth placed Central Coast Mariners. The Stallions had claimed the first round points with a 5-0 result.

Sutherland Sharks had their competition lead reduced to three points when they battled out a 1-1 draw with Sydney United 58 who have slipped back two places to seventh. Sutherland took a 1-0 lead to the shed at the break thanks to a strike from D. Papoulias and then C. Watt provided a second half equaliser for United. The Sharks had taken the first round points with a 1-0 result.

In Round 15 catch-up action Blacktown Spartans produced a 3-0 win over Rockdale City Suns, an outcome that promoted the Spartans to second place. The goals came from J. Percevski (2) and G. Cartagena.

Blacktown Spartans and APIA Leichhardt Tigers had fought out a scoreless first round draw but this week the Spartans took all the points when they produced a 4-2 victory. The Spartans had to come from behind to take the points as the Tigers had led 2-1 at the interval. The goals for the Spartans came from R. Mehinovic (3) and G. Cartagena while B. Rapaport and J. Wiley found the net for the Tigers.  That has left the Spartans in second spot and the Tigers have remained at ninth.

Manly United and Sydney Olympic had battled out a scoreless draw when they met in the first round but this week Manly claimed all the points with a 2-1 victory. Scoring both goals for Manly was K. Conna. That means that Manly have held onto third place while Olympic have slipped back one place to eighth. 

Blacktown City had produced a 3-0 first round win over Bonnyrigg White Eagles and they completed the double this week when they were 1-0 winners thanks to a second half goal. Blacktown are still in fourth place and Bonnyrigg have remained at tenth.

Marconi Stallions climbed two places to sixth when they posted a 3-0 victory over tenth placed Central Coast Mariners. Scoring the goals for the winners were M. Parenta (2) and C. Cuelho. The Stallions have claimed the double as they ha won the first round game 1-0.

Bonnyrigg White Eagles had posted a 3-0 win when they faced the twelfth placed Football NSW Institute in the first round but this time the Institute took the points with a 5-0 result.

IGA National Premier League NSW Men’s 1 – Grade 14

Sutherland Sharks maintained their three-point lead at the top of the table when they posted a 3-0 result over ninth placed Sydney United 58. Scoring the goals for Sutherland were J. Fraser, C. Buswell and H. Callahan. That gives the Sharks the double as they were 3-1 winners in the first round clash.  

In catch-up action from Round 15 Sydney Olympic came up with a 1-0 win over Sydney United 58 thanks to a second half goal from A. Kyriacou.

Sydney Olympic and Manly United had fought out a scoreless draw when they met in the first round but on this occasion Olympic claimed all the points when they recorded a 2-0 result. Olympic are still in second place and Manly have remained at eleventh.

Bonnyrigg White Eagles were 2-0 winners when they faced Blacktown City last time around but this week the teams shared the spoils when their match ended in a 1-1 draw. That has left the White Eagles at third while Blacktown are still in eighth position.

In catch-up action from Round 15 Blacktown Spartans and Rockdale City Suns battled out a scoreless draw.

Blacktown Spartans had claimed the first round points with a 1-0 win over APIA Leichhardt Tigers and the Spartans repeated the effort with another 1-0 result this week. The winning goal was scored by J. Kerr. The Spartans are in fourth position and the Tigers have remained at tenth.

Central Coast Mariners secured the first round points when they registered a 3-1 win over Marconi Stallions and they claimed the double when they were 2-0 winners this week. The goals were scored in the second half by J. Piriz and B. Garland They have moved up to fifth position while the Stallions are still in twelfth place.

Rockdale City Suns had won 2-0 when they faced South Coast Wolves in the first round but this week the teams fought out a 1-1 draw, leaving the Suns at sixth and the Wolves are still at the foot of the table. Finding the net for the Suns was A. Dimovski while the goal for the Wolves came from A. Rosser.

Bonnyrigg White Eagles had battled out a 2-2 first round draw with the seventh placed Football NSW Institute but on this occasion Bonnyrigg secured all the points with a 5-0 result.

IGA National Premier League NSW Men’s 1 – Grade 15

Bonnyrigg White Eagles maintained their position at the top of the table and extended their lead to five points when they were 2-1 winners over Blacktown City this week. That gives Bonnyrigg the double as they had won the first round clash by exactly the same scoreline. Blacktown have slipped back one place to third.

Sydney United 58 climbed from fifth to second when they posted a 1-0 success over Sutherland Sharks who have dropped back two places to sixth. The winning goal was a second half strike from A. Gollan. United had also taken the first round points when they won that match with a 2-0 scoreline.

Marconi Stallions had lost their first round encounter with Central Coast Mariners by a 4-2 scoreline and the Mariners did it to them again when they won this week’s match 6-1. the goals for the Mariners came from L. Macey (2), T. Buhagiar, C. Kondrat, A. Blunden and E. Hall while Marconi’s scorer was G. Cleur. The Stallions have fallen back one place to fourth while the Mariners have moved up one place to ninth.

APIA Leichhardt Tigers climbed one rung up the ladder to fifth with a 1-0 win over Blacktown Spartans who have remained at seventh. The first round match had ended in a scoreless draw.

This week Sydney Olympic produced a 2-1 victory over Manly United to square the ledger for the first round match when Manly had won 2-0 manly’s goal was scored by M. Wyatt. As a result, Olympic have climbed one place to eighth and Manly have remained at the foot of the table.  

In Round 15 catch-up action Rockdale City Suns were 1-0 winners over Blacktown Spartans thanks to a second half strike from M. Hatzon.

When they met in the first round Rockdale City Suns won an absolute thriller with a 6-5 scoreline over South Coast Wolves but the tables were turned this week when the Wolves came up with a 3-0 victory. Scoring the goals for the winners were D. Avouris, T. Musumeci and A. Jones. As a consequence, the teams have swapped places on the table with the Wolves moving up to eleventh and the Suns dropping back to twelfth.

Bonnyrigg White Eagles were 3-1 winners in their first round clash with the eighth placed Football NSW Institute but the tables were turned this week when the Institute produced a 2-1 victory.

IGA National Premier League NSW Men’s 1 – Grade 16

APIA Leichhardt Tigers were 2-0 winners when they faced Blacktown Spartans in the first round and the Tigers completed the double with a 3-2 win this time. Scoring the goals for the Tigers were L. Scott (2) and G. Blackwood while E. Gonzalez and D. Machara netted for the Spartans. They have retained the top spot on the table while the Spartans have slipped back two places to seventh.

Sydney Olympic had produced a 2-0 scoreline in their first round clash with Manly United but the ledger was squared this week when Manly came up with a 2-0 result thanks to strikes from M. McManus and C. Baker. That leaves Olympic in second place while Manly have remained at fourth.

Blacktown City had claimed the first round points with a 2-0 result over Bonnyrigg White Eagles but this time around the teams shared the spoils when they were locked up at 1-1 at the final whistle. City are still in third position and Bonnyrigg are twelfth.

Lokolingoy and M. Trimboli. The Wolves were forced back one place to eleventh while the Suns climbed one place to eighth.

Bonnyrigg White Eagles had suffered a 5-1 loss last time they saw the fifth placed Football NSW Institute and the same things happened this week as the Institute claimed the points with a 5-2 scoreline.

IGA National Premier League NSW Men’s 1 – Grade 18

Up to this point, Blacktown Spartans had suffered only one loss and that was to APIA Leichhardt Tigers in the first round when the score was 7-1. This time the Spartans bagged the points when they came up with a 1-0 result with the winning goal coming from J. Currie. That has left the Spartans at the top of the table by a margin of fourteen points and that means that they have already claimed the title as Premiers while the Tigers have dropped one place to sixth.  

Blacktown City and Bonnyrigg White Eagles fought it out for a scoreless draw when they met in the first round but it was a very different story this time as City produced a solid 6-1 result to remain at second while Bonnyrigg are still at the foot of the table.

Sydney United 58 were 4-1 when they faced Sutherland Sharks last time around and United completed the double with a 2-1 win this time around. They are still in third position and the Sharks are still eleventh.

Bogunovic while B. Hatzinikolis scored a double for Olympic. The northern beaches outfit have jumped from seventh to fourth and Olympic dropped one place to seventh.

Arditti, J. Volkanovski and M. Rizoski The Wolves have climbed one place to ninth and the Suns have remained at twelfth.

Bonnyrigg White Eagles had lost their first round clash with the tenth placed Football NSW Institute by a 3-0 margin but Bonnyrigg bounced back to post a 2-0 result this week.
