It’s a split round three of the NSW Futsal Premier League open men’s competition with Boomerangs against Mountain Majik at the AIS Training Halls, and Campbelltown Quake versus Enfield Rovers at Minto Indoor Sports Stadium.

Dural Warriors and Inner West Magic had their matches postponed (versus Mascot Vipers and Phoenix) due to players missing on Futsalroos duty in Thailand. Check the footballnsw.com.au for Saturday’s kickoff details.

Saturday night’s match-up between Boomerangs and Mountain Majik at the AIS Training Halls is sure to be a beauty, especially as just one point separates the top six teams. Majik began their premier league campaign in emphatic fashion by dismantling Campbelltown 6-5 in the opening round but found the going a little sterner in a 3-4 loss to Enfield last week. Boomerangs shocked everyone by beating title holders Dural in the first outing and played out an enthralling 5-5 draw with Mascot last week to keep the momentum going.

Campbelltown Quake have their backs to the wall when they meet Enfield Rovers at Minto Indoor Sports Stadium on Saturday night. Campbelltown was given a good wrap at the start of the season but successive losses to Mountain Majik and Phoenix to start the summer has them stalling at the gates – fortunately there’s a long way to go to the finish line and no horse has bolted just yet. Enfield have looked sharp in the opening rounds and were well in a 2-0 loss to competition heavyweights Inner West in the first weekend of action before a spritely 4-3 win over Mountain Majik last week. This should be a close call.
