Football NSW has been saddened to hear of the passing of Bankstown City FC striker Kodjo Adjassou.

A highly talented player, Kodjo was well liked by his coaches, managers and teammates that had the pleasure of playing alongside this wonderful talent.

The African born player played for the likes of Coffs Coast Tigers where he was crowned the North Coast’s Football’s Premier Player of the year in 2010 as well as playing for Bankstown Berries and more recently Bankstown City FC.

The 24-year-old spent over a decade in a refugee camp in Ghana before the Togo born star moved to Australia.

Gone too soon, Kodjo will always be remembered.

Football NSW will inform you all more details regarding his funeral as news comes to hand.

Football NSW would like to pass on its deepest condolences to the Adjassou family after the tragic passing of their son.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, may he rest in heavenly peace.
