NSW PSSA Girls celebrated a fantastic week of football as they finished up joint winners alongside Victoria at the 2014 School Sport Australia for 12 years and Under Football Championships at Bendigo held earlier this month.

The NSW girls recorded five victories and a draw against the Victorians in what was a memorable experience for all squad members throughout the week-long tournament.

The side first commenced its national campaign with a training camp held in Sydney in late August which then followed various parent information sessions, training and skills, trial matches and team functions.

NSW Girls Football Manager Kerry Hodges was proud of the Girls achievements and stated that this tournament would live long in their memories for years to come.

“It was a great carnival, very well organised and the student referees were extremely good also.

“A total of 9 girls scored goals as we managed to score 22 and concede 3 which was an amazing effort.”
