Futsal Premier/State League Round 4 Preview

Official previews for this weekend’s upcoming Futsal Premier and State League Round 4 competitions.
Some great match-ups shape round four Premier League as Campbelltown face Phoenix, Inner West host UTS Northside, Enfield meet old foes Mascot, while Dural battle Mountain Majik.
Enfield Rovers meet old foes Mascot Vipers at Morris Iemma Indoor Sports Centre in what should be one of their best. Enfield lead the league on goal-difference as Mascot broke through for their first win in 16 outings, and only one of their past five meetings have been decided by more than a goal. And what about a blistering 85 goals scored in their past seven clashes – this will be memorable!
Dural Warriors are back on track equal with Rovers at the top of the table but they won’t let history dictate their contest with Mountain Majik at Dural Sport & Leisure Centre. Warriors beat Majik 7-1 and 12-1 (at Dural) last summer and the Leisure Centre fortress is almost impregnable at times. The Mountaineers better bring the right siege equipment.
Campbelltown Quake welcome Phoenix Futsal Club to Minto Indoor Sports Centre and a mist of intrigue surrounds this encounter. Phoenix haven’t been victorious in 15 league runs (one short of Sydney City’s dour mark from three summers ago), but the last time they won was against, you guessed it, Campbelltown, 4-2 at Minto last October. Can Phoenix strike like Vipers did last weekend and avoid an unenviable record?
Inner West Magic hosts UTS Northside at Valentine Sports Park. Inner West are on a roll after a sturdy round three points collection from their meeting with club championship rivals Mountain Majik, and they’ll be hopeful of a similar haul against newcomers Northside. UTS have their own agenda as new kids on the block and already showed some mettle across the grades to indicate they won’t be pushed around this weekend.
State League round 4
Sydney City Eagles face another top-of-the-table clash with Western Wolves next in the Dural Sport & Leisure Centre lights, Botany Bay Pirates meet South Coast Taipans in a battle for the waves at Hurstville Aquatic Centre, Boomerangs play Raiders in a huge match-up at Canberra’s mpowerdome, developing International Football School Futsal clash confront a rising West City Crusaders at Peninsula Leisure Centre, while All Sorts Indoor Sports Centre hosts a delicious doubleheader with Eastern Suburbs Hakoah versus Sutherland Shire on one side and Sydney Futsal Club tackling Parramatta Pumas on the other.
