Football NSW NTC Friday Update

Football NSW NTC finished the NTC Championships held at Canberra with a 2-1 loss to Victoria.
It was a fantastic performance by Milan Blagojevic’s men throughout the tournament with a number of key learnings grasped from these championships.
Thursday 
Thursday saw the Football NSW NTC side finish with a 0-0 frustrating draw against Tasmania in match that had limited chances.
In a rather physical encounter, the Football NSW NTC side lost Dylan Ryan early in the second half to injury.
Wednesday
Football NSW NTC side continued its impressive results on Wednesday with a 3-1 victory over the Northern Territory and a 1-0 victory over the Queensland Academy of Sport.
A double from Ramy Najjarine and a cool back-heel finish from John Roberts all but sealed the Blues’ Wednesday morning win against the Northern Territory while a Marley Peterson goal secured victory over the Queenslanders.
Tuesday
Milan Blagojevic’s Football NTC squad recorded two victories in Tuesday’s NTC Championships held at Canberra.
The NSW boys started off the day with a 5-0 victory over ACTAS.
Jamie Gorgovski scored a hat-trick while goals from Joe Lameri and John Roberts rounded up the score in favour of the Blues.
The second match was a tightly contested encounter as Blagojevic’s squad took on the Perth Glory.
A sole goal from Marley Peterson was enough to see the team record two wins from two on Day 2 of the NTC Challenge.
Monday
The Football NSW NTC team coached by Football NSW Institute coach Milan Blagojevic began their NTC Challenge campaign on Monday in Canberra with a 1-1 draw with FFSA NTC.

A strong first half showing brought the reward of a goal midway through the half from Finn Ballard McBride who slotted home after going one on one with the keeper.
FFSA came out stronger second half and scored the equaliser from a header off a set piece.
In the second game of the day, FNSW NTC played Emerging Jets who earlier defeated ACTAS 5-0.
FNSW NTC started the game brightly creating chances very early on but for some outstanding GK and poor finishing kept the scores at 0-0.
Some tidy work by Ramy Najjarine on the goal line inside the penalty area was finished off when his cut back found Gianni Stensness free at the top of the penalty area. Stensness scored to put FNSW NTC 1-0 ahead.
FNSW NTC finished the half 1-0 up.
FNSW NTC continued to create more chances in the second half but for some more outstanding goalkeeping from Emerging Jets kept the score at 1-0.
FNSW NTC would score again in the second half with from Joe Lameri who was quickest to reaction from the GK’s save to extend FNSW NTC’s lead 2-0.
More chances followed for the remainder of the game however, could not add to the score sheet.
