Futsal Premier League Round 12 Preview

Futsal NSW round 12 premier league is a pivotal weekend as Campbelltown host Inner West, Dural battle Enfield, Mountain Majik play UTS Northside, and Phoenix meet Mascot.
Just one point separates Rovers, Warriors, Quake and Magic. Rovers (25), Warriors (25), Quake (24) and Magic (24).
Heavyweights Dural Warriors and Enfield Rovers battle it out at Dural Sport & Leisure Centre. The competition joint-leaders have it all to play for with the premiership finish line just around the corner. Enfield’s offensive output of 57 goals scored in 11 matches will be tested by a Dural side that’s leaked only 19 times in the same period, and although Warriors boast a better head-to-head record winning six of their last seven meetings Rovers were superb in a 3-2 round-five victory to suggest this is anyone’s!
Campbelltown Quake host a pressure-cooker game against Inner West Magic at Minto Indoor Sports Centre. Both sides sit a point from the summit and victory will see either side take the lead should Enfield and Dural stalemate. Campbelltown are solid at home (four from five wins) but meet an Inner West outfit unbeaten on the road and on a five-game win-streak. And how about this: The clubs have won six each and drawn one of 13 riveting encounters (four of them finals), and the margin has only tipped above three goals once – when Quake claimed the 2009/12 decider 4-0.
Mountain Majik play UTS Northside in what will be the definition of fifth-place this summer. The two clubs are equal on points and goal-difference (12 points behind the top-four) and can make a small statement of being the best of the rest with a positive result in this match. Despite both sides clocking under 30 goals so far the clubs have unearthed a league-high dozen scorers each, and if it needed any extra balance Majik claimed a tight, tense 2-1 win over the newcomers in round five.
The action stays hot with a wooden-spoon battle between Phoenix and Mascot Vipers at Ryde Sports & Community Centre. Mascot front Phoenix by a point and it’ll be just as close this weekend if past records are anything to go by. The clubs have two wins apiece and a draw from five close encounters and the last time they met Phoenix pulled out an epic 8-7 victory (scoring almost a third of their 27 season goals in one match).
