Futsal NSW premier league is at melting point following a weekend fever that saw Campbelltown and Inner West draw 4-4, Dural down Enfield 9-2, UTS Northside edge Mountain Majik 4-3, and Mascot defeat Phoenix 7-5.

A scorching 38 goals were scored in round 12 (fifth highest, just three from last summer’s 41-goal efforts) to leave Dural three points ahead of Quake, Rovers and Magic – and just a 10-goal differential between the lot of them.

Dural Warriors made a loud statement with their 9-2 demolition of Enfield Rovers at Dural Sport & Leisure Centre sending them back to the top of the table.

Doubles from Nathan Niski, Bruno Pivato, Brendan Hoyer and Blake Rosier turned a dominant Dural 4-0 halftime buffer into a comfortable seven-goal victory that avenged their 3-2 loss to Rivers earlier in the season. Rob Foti and Shervin Adeli scored for Enfield, Adeli finding the back of the net in an incredible 14th straight premier league contest!

Three-time champs Warriors hold yet another premiership in their hands with games against Phoenix and UTS to play in the final two rounds, while Rovers tackle Majik and Quake.

Campbelltown Quake fought out a thrilling 4-4 draw with Inner West Magic at Minto Indoor Sports Centre, drawing them level on points with Rovers in joint-second place.

The home side led 2-1 at the interval but Inner West clawed them back in the second term to earn a fourth stalemate of the season (the most of any premier league club in eight summers), Dean Lockhart, Edward Rinaldi, Harley Da Silva and Danny Martinez scoring for Quake to cancel out Magic strikes from Brian Griffin-Colls, Jonathan Barzel, Chris Zeballos and Michael Cimino.

Inner West have gone seven league games unbeaten on the road and face bottom sides Mascot and Phoenix in the run home, while Campbelltown play Enfield in a final-round bruiser.

UTS Northside had the staying power to outlast Majik 4-3, Andrew White netting twice for the Mountaineers to become their 13th scorer of the summer. It was a good payback for Majik’s slender 2-1 win over UTS late last year and gives Northside every chance of finishing fifth in a promising debut premier league season.

A terrific second-half lifted Mascot Vipers to a 7-5 defeat of Phoenix at Ryde Sports & Community Centre, consigning Phoenix to the wooden spoon and ending Mascot’s 11-game win-less road-run. Jun Kato and Leonardo Pinto bagged braces for Vipers.

Next week’s games

Some great match-ups shape round 13 premier league even though none of the top-four meet; Inner West Magic host Mascot Vipers at Valentine Sports Park, Enfield Rovers meet Mountain Majik at Morris Iemma Indoor Sports Centre, UTS Northside battle Campbelltown Quake at Sydney Academy of Sport & Recreation, and Dural Warriors face Phoenix at Dural Sport & Leisure Centre.

State League Round 12

State league round 12 saw unbeaten Eastern Suburbs Hakoah wrap up the open men’s premiership with a 9-2 win against Parramatta Pumas at All Sorts Indoor Sports Centre, their ninth straight victory on the back of Jarrod Basger and Jordan Mundell hatricks. Hakoah’s 29 competition points enough to finish the regular season in first place and provide solid form ahead of the finals.

Western Wolves proved too good for Botany Bay Pirates in a comfortable 6-4 win at Hurstville Aquatic Centre that moved them to within striking distance of a finals berth, a huge final round match-up against Boomerangs to decide both sides’ fate.

Raiders cruised to a 21-2 romp over Mount Druitt Town Rangers at Whitlam Leisure Centre, Chris Godoy Bascur scoring seven and Adam Savetta, Alexander Voloder and Goran Ljuboja adding hatricks to keep a top-two finish in sight. Raiders scored 13 second-half goals to notch up eight straight wins.

West City Crusaders edged Sutherland Shire 4-3 in a big result at Menai Indoor Sports Centre. Crusaders led 1-0 at halftime and now have an outside shot of making the playoffs but will need to rely on other results, while Sutherland can also see post-season action with helpful outcomes this weekend.

South Coast Taipans easily defeated Sydney Futsal Club 10-2 at Marrickville PCYC, Franc Pierro netting three times for the visitors, International Football School Futsal hosted Sydney City Eagles (who’ll have it all to play for in a final round dash for second place against Raiders), while Boomerangs had the bye.
