Nine NSW players represented the Australian schoolgirls on their recent tour of the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Madeleine Neville (Pymble Ladies College), Hannah Bacon (St Patrick’s College Sutherland), Clare Woods (Westfields Sports High), Jordan Baker (Kirrawee High), Jemma House (Hunter Sports High), Sarah Easthope (Penrith Christian School), Tara Pender (The Hills Sports High), Taren King (Warilla High), Jessica Daymond (Kelso High School) were all selected in August 2014 from the Australian Schools Championships which were held in Sydney.

Playing club and school international games in Wales, Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland and England over a 3 week tour was a new and challenging experience for the players.

Playing in different conditions (including a snow storm in Belfast) and on different surfaces against opposition of varying levels was a test for the players both mentally and physically.

The 10 game tour culminated with a game versus Arsenal Ladies team which contained many former and current England international players.

On tour the players were also able to attend two English Premier League games and a Fourth Round FA Cup game.

Some educational and historical tours in London, Cardiff, Dublin, Belfast and Edinburgh kept the girls busy off the field.
Overall the players had a great trip, made many new friends and have great memories that will last forever.
