Youngsters farewell Westfield Matildas
It was a memorable evening for 100 Sutherland Shire Football Association junior girls as they braved stormy conditions at Kogarah Oval last Thursday to help bid farewell to the Westfield Matildas.
These lucky girls participated as mascots, flag bearers and also took part in half-time MiniRoos matches as they watched Alen Stajic’s side crush Vietnam 11-0.
Caringbah Redbacks, Cronulla Seagulls, Sylvania, Miranda Magpies, Cronulla RSL, North Sutherland, Gymea, Bosco and Sutherland Sharks all represented the Association proudly on the evening.
