Four games on Saturday and two on Sunday make up Round 14 in the Men’s State League 1.
North Shore takes on Stanmore Sunday afternoon in our Match of the Round.
Gladesville Ryde Magic vs Nepean FC, Saturday 27th June, Magdala Park, 4pm
Gladesville return home looking for goals as they host the struggling Nepean.
The Magic played out a nil-all draw against Inter, their third clean-sheet in a row.
Jason Breton embraced a week off due to the weather and hopes it may rejuvenate Nepean.
Nepean need to start building some results to get themselves off the bottom and Saturday afternoon represents a good start.
Western NSW Mariners FC vs Inter Lions, Saturday 27th June, Glen Willow Stadium, 5pm
The Mariners find themselves just outside the top five as they welcome Inter to Mudgee.
Inter were one of the few games to go ahead last weekend and drew nil-all with Gladesville.
Western NSW has found discomfort at home unable to win their last three games.
Former Futsalroos star Lachlan Wright has starred in recent weeks for the Lions and will want to continue that form Saturday night.
Hills Brumbies vs Hawkesbury City SC, Saturday 27th June, Lily’s Football Centre, 7:30pm
Brumbies have hit a roadblock in their season and need to get back on track this weekend.
Mark Giovenali had his side purring 3-1 ahead before their second half capitulation against the Mariners.
Daniel Morsillo got back on the scoresheet in the loss to make it ten for the season.
Evan Daglis will be a threat for a Hawkesbury City team looking for a big scalp Saturday night.
Rydalmere Lions vs Balmain Tigers FC, Saturday 27th June, Rydalmere Park, 7:30pm
Two sides that were off due to the inclement weather do battle out in Sydney’s west.
Rydalmere are still stewing over their 5-1 loss to North Shore a fortnight ago that ended their unbeaten run.
Balmain has strung together some good results to sit seventh, with 17 points and Jonathan Gowdy in-form.
Tony Basha needs to navigate two games this week without ‘keeper Harrick Sinpraseuth due to suspension.
Stanmore Hawks vs North Shore Mariners, Sunday 28th June, Arlington Oval, 3pm
Fresh from their local derby stalemate, Stanmore host leaders North Shore in our Match of the Round.
North Shore, led by a Lee Jones hat-trick steamrolled Hills last week in a 5-3 win.
Stanmore sit eighth, five points outside finals reckoning, need a win to keep touch.
Joe Haywood faces double travel this weekend, taking on Hawkesbury on Wednesday before backing up on Sunday.
Yorgi Mavrou has proven a rock for the Hawks and will have to be solid against the Mariners attack.
This provides the backdrop for an intriguing battle for the Match of the Round.
Granville Rage vs Dulwich Hill FC, Sunday 28th June, Garside Park, 3pm
Granville welcome momentum building Dully to Garside Park Sunday afternoon.
Stephen Hrysanthos has almost been forgotten with Sam Messam’s arrival but his equaliser last week served as a reminder.
The Rage languishes back in tenth, with nine points and faces the task of Rydalmere and Dully in seven days.
Midfield maestro James Morrison will provide the engine to run the fluid Dully attack against a weary Rage team.
