Granville Waratahs FC, known as one of the oldest clubs in Australia, took in a special Football NSW Coaching Coordinators course delivered by newly appointed staff coach Brian Dene recently.

Their historic home venue of Robin Thomas Reserve was treated to some expert tips by Dene who delivered them to youth coaches from the Under 6’s right up to the Under 15’s who all attended in what was an insightful evening.

Granville Waratahs FC Club President Noel Dona was appreciative of Football NSW putting on such a useful coaching seminar which proved to be a great tool for up and coming coaches within the club.

“I have taken a lot away from this session especially about engaging kids and asking questions rather than directing every move.

“I have invited Brian to come back when the fields are open to do a practical session with our players.”

Dene too was appreciative of the session as he promoted his enjoyment in working with grassroots clubs.

“I really do enjoy working with grassroots clubs and coaches in helping them deliver better sessions for their players.

“The Granville Waratahs coaches were very attentive and I thank them for their hospitality.”
