Over the past month, Football NSW MiniRoos Development officers have been on the road providing primary school children a taste of football.

Across four weeks, over 16 schools visits were carried out, introducing football to over 2,300 students through a series of skill exercises, competitions and MiniRoos football games.

Sessions were conducted to pupils ranging from Kindergarten to Year 6, truly showing that football can be played by all, regardless of age or skill.

Football NSW development officers had a great time as they continued to promote MiniRoos football with MiniRoos Kick Off sites popping up all across Sydney during the post season and summer months.

Schools can also become involved in football by registering to become a Sporting School through the Australian Sports Commission website.

Schools will receive funding to be able to hire coaches to deliver a football program, opening their students to great learning opportunities and enjoyment. www.sportingschools.gov.au
