FNSW Futsal State Championships come to life
Over 1600 players across 182 teams enjoyed a memorable 2015 Football NSW Futsal State Championships held at Penrith, Glenwood and Hawkesbury over the NSW long weekend in October.
Mixed teams in the 9’s and 10s and the 11 Boys and 11 and 12 Girls played their matches at Football NSW’s headquarters, Valentine Sports Park, while junior teams took over the Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre in the 12, and 14 Boys as well as 13 and 15 Girls categories.
Senior teams used Hawkesbury Indoor Stadium and packed the venue to the brim which saw age categories such as Men, Women, Youth Men, 16 Boys, and 17 Girls as well as AWD categories partake in competitive Futsal matches.
Football NSW’s Head of Competitions Troy McColl was impressed with the talent that was on show across all three quality venues.
“NSW Futsal is alive and kicking and this was visibly evident with the amount of quality that was on display for both days as all registered players and teams battled for the right to be named Champions in the prestigious NSW Futsal State Championships.
“This is a credit to Futsal in NSW and acknowledgement of the quality and prestige that the Football NSW Futsal State Championships has acquired down the years.”
